I say you are right. 39 wins in the last 4 seasons is pretty damn good for Ole Miss. This includes that clunker 8 win season in 2022. At some point the cards will fall and we'll make the Playoffs. Or not. Either way, winning is better than losing so I'm fairly glad we're "stuck" with Kiffin. Given the challenges OM faces on a yearly basis, and you know what they are, 39 wins in 4 seaons feels pretty good. So if this is the ceiling, all I'll say is, it's higher than it used to be.

Damn. Admitting that possibly never making the playoff and definitely never winning a national championship is the ceiling is probably hard to do. I respect that. And I'm not even being sarcastic when I say that.

I mean, at this point we've won more games than Texas over the last 4 years...now THAT is sad.

Now project out to the future and extrapolate based on trends (versus looking at the past where you have admitted you got your ceiling). We have yet to see our ceiling on the horizon.

Tune in to the cotton bowl, I know you won’t have anything else to do now that you beat a basketball school in the Mayo Bowl!

For those of you saying that if you don’t get into the playoffs, it really doesn’t matter what you do:

You’re correct

Sure. Look at the records of the last few seasons. Compare them to the records of teams that made the playoffs.

If your next QB is close to Dart good, you guys are a shoe in next season. Your defense is scrappy as hell.

Ok, I did. I'm still confused. Can you just tell me what I didn't read correctly?

Simmons looks to have a very high ceiling. He's come in twice and threw absolute lasers. One of which, was coming in cold the 2nd drive against UGA and led the offense down the field for a Touchdown before Dart came back in the next drive. He's also solid relief pitcher(I'm worried about him blowing his arm playing baseball) and I think that mentality helped keep his nerves calm being thrown into the fire. He definitely seems to have all the tools. Graduated High School like two years yearly.

I'm a little worried about this side of the ball next season. We lose a lot of BIG names in the front 7.

Next season will be a rebuilding year for us.

Dude just tell me what I didn't read correctly. I assume you are saying that I said the OP admitted that Ole Miss may never make the playoff and that's not true?

Correct. And now take that......add it to what I told you to look into....and then figure it out.

I believe in you.

Well the OP said this:
quote:

He literally said that, I didn't make it up or misread it.

I was responding to what the OP posted. It sounds like you have a problem with the OP saying that y'all might not make the playoff, not me.
