Since we've been commenting on McConaughey, was wondering who are your most famous fans.
Rules:
1. Person can't be a person primarily known for the sports they played or coached at your school. (Example: Charles Barkley would not qualify for Auburn, but Goldberg would qualify for Georgia)
2. Person can be an alum or not.
3. Person has to have a clear pic wearing your gear and evidence they have attended your sporting events and cheered you on or at least talked about their fandom. (Example: I can't find Octavia Spencer in Auburn gear, but she's mentioned being a fan of Auburn sports many times and had the mascot at her walk of fame ceremony.)
Why not these people?
John Grisham- MSU, I can see where he's been back to the campus and spoken at academic settings. What I can't find is any support in terms of wearing the gear or talking about his fandom of the sports teams. Not saying he doesn't, but I just can't find it anywhere.
Katy Perry- Ole Miss, Her appearance on CGD seemed to be more for of a promotional type thing. Have never seen her talk about Ole Miss since then and the tie in was someone that worked for her was a big fan and graduate.
Vandy has quite a few famous people who graduated or at least attended classes at their university. Can't really find any that testify to being huge Vandy fans or wearing Vandy gear.
I can't find anyone for Arkansas or Mizzou that is a big fan but famous for something outside of the sport they played at Arkansas. Not saying there isn't anyone, but I just couldn't find them. Jerry Jones is a wealthy business man, but his fame came from buying the Cowboys and he played football at Arkansas.
Brad Pitt is more famous than Toby worldwide and probably nationwide and he did attend the 2018 Rose Bowl between UGA and OU. But Toby was as big of a supporter of OU football and OU athletics as McConaughey is Texas. And in the Southeast, doubt Pitt would be more recognizable to the average person.
And I kid Bama fans.

For Aubarn I put Tim Cook. He is the CEO of the world's most valuable company. I don't even know who that C list celebrity that is.

There's nothing out there where Leo says he's a big Auburn fan.
Example Vince Vaughn has worn Ole Miss stuff before but says he roots for Notre Dame.

My guess is the average person would recognize the actress over him, even if they didn't know her name, they'd know a movie they've seen her in.

I can't insert pictures but cursory search gives Auburn Jimmy Buffett, Lionel Richie and multiple Astronauts headed by Ken Mattingly Apollo 13.
