Congrats to Ole Miss on recieving the coveted Gator Bowl invite after throwing a temper tantrum. This might be the most important game in Mississippi history (post klan), I am sure the entire state will take the day off to support a checked out Lane Kiffen get his arse beat by Duke on national TV.

Yeah Gator Bowl is about the best bowl you can get when you're losing to teams like Florida.

This seems to be a point of contention with you. Are you a member of the Gator Bowl committee or something? Who gives a crap what bowl we go to?

Fo real! If you aint in the play off who cares what bowl game you play in.
I personally and bummed out that Duke wont have its first or second string QB available..both have opted out. Hopefully they are able to make it competitive....thats a terrible spot to be in.
This is also the exact reason of why the portal needs to be moved to after playoffs. I don't care if the players have to sit out the January semester because its after drop/add day..I'm sure they dont care either.

The players and the coaches definitely care. They need the players to go through spring ball to evaluate needs in the spring portal period. It'd be silly to have a portal period where most players can't enroll and go through spring practice and then have another post-spring portal period.

I meant just missing classes because they are past the drop/add day. I just heard someone say one time the reason it's not later is because classes start early Jan.
Give them a semester off from going to classes and just let them workout, practice, and do football stuff.
The can stay the summer and make up those classes if that even matters anymore.

I read that the Gator Bowl really wanted UF. Is there any truth to this?
