Frick the SEC. Uga is one lucky dog.

The full statement from the SEC can be read below:

"When we received the request for Bevo to be on the sideline in Mercedes-Benz Stadium, our staff looked at several alternatives including the sideline location. The reality is there is limited sideline space at the stadium. We can’t jeopardize the safety of Bevo or the game participants. With the narrow sidelines, location of multiple sets for television and camera carts, there is not enough space. While we want to honor tradition across the conference, the space limitation is a reality."

You won’t be back this season so it’s fine.

What's the reasoning why Bevo isn't allowed there?

I am pretty sure they BBQ it every year after the season.

They are the only school that eats their mascots. Every other schools buries theirs when they pass.

I love tradition, but this is probably the right call given what happened last round.

Nice shiny stadium and they can’t figure out the logistics? Pathetic.

Texas was extremely lucky Bevo didn't seriously hurt someone after his debacle with UGA in the sugar bowl a few years ago. Bringing that fake horned heifer to away games is just stupid. Its a cow. It aint that impressive.

Your dead and buried mascots can read the scoreboard built for them?

Oh wow, A&M buries their mascots like everyone else. Just because you eat yours doesn’t make us weird. Quite the opposite.
