As much as I hate them, I have to defend them here. They are 3-1 vs ranked opponents and Miami is 0-1. Miami lost to the only ranked team they played. We knew this was going to have to happen when teams have better records but don't play anyone. ACC teams and teams in weaker conferences are going to have to try and schedule harder occ games. They are also going to have to do away with conference championship games.

Why are they ahead of Ole Miss?

Yep this is the ticket with 12 teams. LSU fans fussed about opening with USC but had they beat USC they would have been 7-0 headed into aTM and even with the loss to Bama they’d still have controlled their own destiny. Sec teams get a schedule advantage but in a world where there was a parity within the conference this OOc games matter. No sec team looked dominant consistently this year. For the ACC when you can play your entire conference schedule and not play bit 1 ranked team you have problems.

They’re not Kentucky
And if you want my 2 cents, SCAR it the team that should be ahead of Alabama

3 top 25 for Bama vs 2 top 25 wins for Ole Miss.
When all else is equal, you’ve got to factor something.
Plus I think the blowout win in Baton Rouge probably played a factor as well. Then you have the historical resumes of both programs Bama>Ole Miss.
I’d also add Pete Golding is Ole Miss D-coordinator. That’s got to count against you

Ole Miss played 2 ranked teams and went 1-1. They said tonight that it mattered.

Kentucky's wins were Southern Miss, Ohio, Murray State, & Lane Kiffin.
FFS they lost to Auburn at home by double digits. That's how awful they are.

At least you are being up front. Why can’t Bama fans just own this shite. They got in cause the money. In the end it doesn’t matter. Just own it.

People keep saying it's about the money but they are going to have to go about selections like basketball where sos and record vs ranked teams matters and currently no one on the outside has either of those over Bama.

Several people just gave you metrics explaining why Bama is ahead of Ole Miss & you totally ignored it.
