- Texas had the highest average margin at +13.8 but also played the worst schedule

- Georgia (+5.9) and Tennessee (+5.8) had 2 losses each but had a lower average margin than the 3 playoff bubble 3 loss teams (Ole Miss +10.6, USC +8.9, Bama +6.6).

- Missouri went 5-3 in the league but had a negative margin (-3.6) which was the same as Arkansas (-3.6) who went 3-5 in the league.

- The only teams in the bottom 5 in both strength of schedule and margin were:
> Auburn (11th SOS, 13th margin)
> Missouri (13th SOS, 12th margin)

It's definitely a good argument. It also lines up with the advanced metrics that on a play by play basis Ole Miss is a Top 5 team. They just lost a bunch of the huge leverage plays in the 3 games they lost.

Oklahoma (14th SOS, 14th margin)

How is this possible? Oklahoma played one of the toughest schedules.

According to FEI, they have the 3rd toughest schedule in the entire country.

Something is off.

You are right, that does look wrong.

#2 Texas
#6 Ole Miss
#8 Alabama
#10 Tennessee
#12 South Carolina
#16 LSU
#35 Missouri
#43 Auburn

Average : 16.5

Yep, definitely wrong. Updated.

Ole Miss never trailed by more than one score at any point in the entire season.

The average margin metrics favor Ole Miss as we were 0-3 in one score game with all the wins coming by multiple scores.

Certainly stronger than the team they sodomized in Columbia.
