I hate it, but by the book that was absolutely targeting. No mention by broadcast and the fact that the play was already being reviewed because of the turnover is hilarious.

Then the very next play the receiver blocking the corner 5 yards downfield and still getting a defensive PI called is the cherry on top.

Then…explain to me why targeting has been called numerous times when a RB or WR gets hit in the helmet directly from a defender lowering his head to hit him and targeting is called. They are runners and aren’t always defenseless.

b Targeting is sort of subjective. But they say if a runner is not defenseless sometimes they won't call it. The QB was a Runner at that point and they just didn't see him as defenseless. He has been bull rushing all night. Plus I doubt they saw how brutal the hit was.
