How does Bama only drop 6 spots?

When they lost by 21 points to an unranked team, tacking on a third loss.
UGA dropped 9 spots when we got our second loss and we lost to a top 10 team by 18.
Seems like some of these people need to get off of Bama's dick.

I think it has to do more with who's behind them on why they didn’t drop more spots.

They’re still getting benefit of the doubt because they’re Bama. This will be the last season for that. Also if they dropped out of rankings this iron bowl would be even more meaningless than what it is.
This shows how much talent and SEC doesn’t matter in the big picture because top teams still lose games they shouldn’t.

Well, the perception still is that Bama could beat a lot of teams directly behind them. After the Vandy loss, I wasn't too convinced we'd beat many top 25 teams in front of us or behind us.

Like it or not, Bama carries a lot of clout with bonus points to spar due to decades of winning....Also people hate Bama and like to see them lose so they'll watch a game and jack the ratings up. They take this into account in many ways.
Do I think Bama deserve the playoffs this year? No way, but money people even outside Bama's control know they draw attention. Look who else they have to choose from in the playoff brackets right now: SMU, Arizona ST, Indiana, Boise ST, Miami some Big 10 teams....They just aren't going to draw the same attention.

Yes Bama will sell more seats and have more views but this isn’t the SEC or Alabama playoffs, it’s college football and people are forgetting that. Those other teams are being punished because in theory they will never have the talent Bama or SEC teams have.

Do you want an honest answer, or do you just want to cry about Alabama?
It's not a vacuum, there are other games that happen. Alabama is the highest ranked 3 loss team. The only teams with 2 losses behind them are teams that have played an extremely weak schedule.
When Georgia lost, you dropped among 2 loss teams, which were more numerous at the time. And yet, you are still the highest ranked 2 loss team. The only 1 loss teams Georgia is ahead of are ones with extremely weak schedules.
See how that works?
Or did you just want to cry about Alabama?
