Nick Saban said there is only one team in the SEC that can make a College Football Playoff argument with three losses: Georgia.

"And the only team that could have an argument to get in with three losses, if Georgia actually plays in the SEC championship game, they really shouldn’t be penalized. If they would happen to lose the game, they would end up with three losses.”

He's right, they flew 700 miles to Norman just to kick a field goal and then flew home.

They lost to Vandy

Most years he'd probably be right. But when everyone else is losing a bunch of games and don't have the good wins to balance it out it's more or less a lack of options rather than being deserving.

12 teams is too much. In my lifetime probably the most teams I think was ever needed was in 2008, I think an 8 team playoff would have been good that year. That was once, most years are less than that. We certainly never needed 12, but since that's where we're at there are going to be many "undeserving" teams making the playoffs every year. Even more once we go to 14 and eventually we're going to get to 16, it's inevitable.

You hate to see it.

But Saban is 100% correct.

The problem Saban has is not looking at the other options.

12 teams ARE going to get in... because that's how many spaces there are in the playoff.

There are still scenarios that aren't particularly far fetched where there aren't going to be better options than a 3-loss team for that last at-large spot.

For example I wouldn't be shocked if Cal beats SMU and SC beats Clemson., then SMU loses to Miami.

So who do you take for the last at-large? 3-Loss SMU because their third came in a CCG? A second G5 school like Tulane or UNLV who has 2-losses? A 2 loss BYU that doesn't make their CCG from the big 12?

Or a 3-loss SEC team?

This is not a difficult calculus. How would you penalize a third loss for playing an extra game? That would be ridiculous.

It's a wonder at how many actual Bama fans give a shite or were part of the shite this entire time.

True Bama fans didn't incessantly troll. True Bama fans knew/know what they have.

This place is a sad cesspool that once made it's name all the way back when, but since then it's become a literal shite show.

You guys who continue this act are working for something that probably doesn't pay off in the long run.

Please, for the love of everything holy:

GET. NEW. MATERIAL.

Feels like a sad routine at the local comedy barn that has faded away with "huehuehue's" while tweedle dee and tweedle dumbass continue to press buttons.

Signed,

Nick Saban.

Does it surprise you to see so many Alabama fans agreeing?

If Bama gets in they’ll get bounced by the 5 seed anyway, whoever that is Indiana or whoever.

The only way Alabama has an argument is a cosmic-level occurrence of upsets and probably a bus crash or two.

I dunno why people keep bringing us up.
