It's not. You do not want to play on the road in 10 degree weather in Columbus, Happy Valley or Eugene.

All three of those places listed have the average temps in the mid 40s to low 20s.

Lived In Columbus, most of the Sec has similar weather. Midwest gets much colder in January

Ya, let's just play a team with talent to rival any SEC team on the road in Columbus at night in mid-December in the playoffs. Have fun with that

It's not about being a puss. You're at a disadvantage in that game for a variety of reasons and would be absolutely braindead to intentionally seek it out

Georgia players in the NFL have had zero problems playing in Philadelphia, Pittsburgh, or Buffalo etc. We aren't pussies from Texas. We'll play anybody, anywhere.

You do realize your team has lost on the road twice this year, right?

earn it

Between the top 6 or so teams in the country, it's basically a game of paper, rock, scissors. Some offensive schemes counter defensive schemes and vice versa, and those top 6 or so teams all have the talent to matchup. It's the same reason why NFL teams don't go undefeated. If you think taking the hardest road is ideal then you're not serious about winning a championship. Note: If Georgia ends up the 9 seed, which is likely, they're probably playing a rematch in Oxford in R1

The SEC will prove ourselves superior in these gladiator games if we are superior. The venue is inconsequential if we are superior.

Only the SEC holds dominate home arena advantage in today's world imho.

The only advantage factor might be time zone related because of circadian rhythms. For true warriors that matters not. Our DNA dictates that we are prepared to do battle at stand-to. Military combat MOSes will understand what that means.
