November 23 (would go down as the wildest weekend in college football history)
Auburn beats Texas A&M
Florida beats Ole Miss
Vandy beats LSU
Miss St beats Missouri
Oklahoma beats Alabama
Kentucky beats Texas
November 30
Ole Miss beats Miss St
Alabama beats Auburn
LSU beats Oklahoma
Arkansas beats Missouri

The SEC Championship game would be unranked 8-4 LSU vs 10-2 Tennessee (2007 anyone?)
Only one SEC team would have less than 3 losses. Vandy wouldve beaten the SEC championship game teams on consecutive weekends to finish the season. And finish 4th in the conference. While a ton of outrageous things would need to happen, the last week of the season would only require two minor upsets. Depending on kickoff times, Tenn could go into the Vandy game being assured of an SEC championship game spot regardless of the outcome.
Should LSU beat Tenn, they would go to the playoffs (still unranked?) with 4 losses and NINE conference teams would finish with 3 losses.
In no world does this actually happen (does it?), but it is mind-blowing that we are going into the 3rd week of November and this shite exists.

Alabama would be 9-3 in your scenario with the tie breaker over LSU. You would need Auburn over Alabama as well or LSU beating Vandy.

It's true that there has never been the kind of parity in the SEC that we see this year. But most of what's in this post is not going to happen. What is a bit crazy is that it's quite likely that at least two SEC teams will get playoff bids without going to the title game. There is also a scenario in which the loser of the title game could get left out if it ends up with three losses and BIG teams have better records/SOS/other metrics.
There is nowhere near the kind of depth and parity in the BIG that there is in the SEC. At least one team is going to be complaining the way Georgia and FSU complained last year with just a four-team playoff.
The way I see it, the SEC deserves at least four--maybe five spots. Prediction: 8 of the 12 spots will be taken up by the SEC and BIG. And the Group of Five should stage their own Natty Playoff where some team ends up actually winning something, instead of taking a spot away from the Power 4 leagues.

I like the scenario where the winner of UGA/Tenn plays Vandy, who finishes 2nd in a 9-way tie, in the SECCG

Doesn’t even need that.
According to this, if the favorites win out to the last week the only thing needed to get LSU into the title game is Arkansas beat Missouri.

I’ve said from the beginning that doing away with divisions was a huge mistake and is going to lead to controversy year after year. There’s no way for a 16 team conference to not have multiple teams who have a legitimate argument to be in the championship at the end of the season. They’re going to have to bring back divisions.
And it won’t be hard to do. Simply bring back the old East/West format with Texas and Oklahoma added to the West. Shift Auburn to the East. The conference should be:
East
Auburn
Florida
Georgia
Kentucky
Missouri
South Carolina
Tennessee
Vandy
West
Alabama
Arkansas
LSU
Mississippi
Mississippi State
Oklahoma
Texas
Texas A&M
Go to a 9 (or even 10) conference game format with either one or two permanent cross-division rivals.

Missouri would need to be in the west and Bama move to the east.
Both of Bama’s traditional rivalries are in the east, simplifies scheduling a bit.

Not according to the results generator website. In that scenario, Tenn is 6-2 in the conference and the rest of the whole world is 5-3. Somehow, the matrix says LSU finishes 2nd. Assuming the matrix is correct, which apparently it is.
Its basically a cute exercise of improbabilities. Regardless, after our last two games, I am irrationally pissed at college football in general and my only desire is pure carnage, An entire weekend where every single favorite gets beat, including us at home vs Vandy? Bring it on.
