He's had two weeks to develop some route timing with the #1s and mesh skills with the RBs. He doesn't need to be Chase Daniel but he needs to be better than what he has put on film so far.

He'll at least stay in the pocket.

Not sold on arm strength but as you said ... timing. Timing. Timing.

Sounds like Cook is playing today.

Saw on the SEC pre-game show that they were trying to use the Cook "package" when Pyne had to come in.

They went back and looked at film from Notre Dame and installed 7-8 new plays that's he's comfortable using.

Sounds like he should do better IF Brady indeed doesn't play,

If Drink gets beat badly today, he needs to apologize to the WR room for not having a formidable QB room

I was looking for that prop bet but Draftkings doesn't have it. No reason to not expect at least 2 ints from Pyne today if they let him pass it 10+ times.

You are being kind. He physically is so limited that you can't run an offense with him. I realize having Cook as a starter limited our options in the portal, but damn this is horrible.

Once he hit his stride he became serviceable.

BIG win over the fricking wallflowers.

South Carolina could be a real problem if Cook doesnt come back.

I was at the game and was fortunate to have seats looking down on the field on the 50. Pyne can't read the field between the hashes. The oline doesn't play with splits to spread the defensive front 7 out and he missed a bunch of chain moving throws over the middle and on the seams in the first half. They went to one side reads and roll outs in the 2nd half and found success against OUs double A Gap blitz. SC now has a half of tape on it. Moore has his work cut out for him getting Pyne ready because I don't think Cook is going to be able to go.

South Carolina is a problem for any team, with any QB playing, at their place. In all honesty, a win at Williams-Bryce would and should put Mizzou in playoff contention.

Is this a lack of height that makes passes between the hashes tough for him?

It plays a huge part. he can't see deep safeties to save his life.

Mizzou isn't a playoff team without a QB. QB is the most important position in all of sports and our QB room is not very good. Im really hoping for a NIL push for a portal QB.

Without good QB play (Cook and/or Pyne) in the last 3 weeks Missouri will lose 2 more games, and therefore it won't even be a question. Good QB play leading to a 10-2 record WILL put us in the conversation. Chicken/Egg argument.

It'll sort itself out, but I'm not giving up on this season yet. I agree that we need to get a portal QB, but this season has some meat left on the bone.

The SEC will only get so many spots for the CFP. Even with Cook, Mizzou isn't strong enough to replace the SEC teams in front of them. UGA, Tennessee, Texas, A&M, Bama and Ole Miss. Who would Mizzou jump even with a win VS South Carolina? Plus our SOS sucks.

If they chose the playoff teams today, you would be right on the money. But, they don't.
There's really no point of worrying about it, but there's also no point in discarding the worth of the rest of the season and already looking to next year.

UGA still plays UT.
TAMU still has Texas.

If mizzou wins out, it'll have added another T25 win, plus 10-2. UGA and TAMU wont make it in with 3 losses, or even if one of them does, it'll be a spot behind mizzou. So at this moment, no, but if they lose the games above, and mizzou wins out we're in. Also the committee takes the bama loss with a grain of salt because they weigh injury situations.

Mizzou needs to not only win, but win comfortably in at least 2 of the last 3.
