You have to answer the question - why did they join the SEC instead??
Why would they turn down a near guaranteed playoff appearance & schedule flexibility??
Texas has a bird in hand and you're busy talking about the ones in the bush

You know how ND is really a marginal team but gets treated like a contender without having to ever play anyone?
Why on earth would an Aggy fan say that?

They also need the SEC more than the SEC needs UTx.
Being in the SEC helps with recruiting, no doubt we have benefited from SEC talent we wouldn't have gotten if we stayed in the Big 12. The SEC is also played on ESPN/ABC, while that is unpopular on this board, most kids want to play on ESPN instead of Fox.
Now to the other side of the argument. If Texas and OU went to the B1G, the conference TV deal would be even more lopsided. A significant amount of eyes would be watching the B1G instead of the SEC. The SEC would keep it close for a few years in terms of competition, but 5 years down the road the B1G would pull away as the premier conference. If Texas went to the B1G, we would essentially be another tOSU. We would more than likely make the playoffs every year and still have a top 5 roster in CFB.

Complete B.S. The UT Network was a "huge" success for UT. It's well known throughout the industry that ESPN had BEEN trying to get out of its contract with UT. At its end, ESPN couldn't find sufficient advertisers even inside the state. As for its nationwide "allure", it's nowhere as popular in comparison to N.D. Chicago, the 2nd or 3rd largest city in the country, is basically a N.D. home city. The state of New Jersey, the same. It's fans fill The Meadows Land stadium. Philly, the same. There's a reason NBC basically became its own TV channel. And I detest N.D.
