I’m not talking about the current players or fans, but the boss himself. Being a former bulldog you have to figure one game means more than the others deep down. My guess is the game this week, considering that when he played is when Florida was rolling with spurrier. But idk maybe it’s Auburn or tech. What says tRant?

It's Florida. More than any other, he can't stand that program.

Edit: I forgot to mention what has fueled his strong dislike for Florida. It had to do with when CKS was a player with UGA.

In 1995, UF came to Athens for the first time (when Jax was renovating the old Gator Bowl)......the score late in the 4th quarter was 45-14, Gators. An assistant came up to Spurrier and told him that no team in history had ever scored over 50 points on Georgia Between The Hedges.

With just a few minutes left in the game, Spurrier called for a bomb and it went in for a TD, making the final score, 52-14. CKS has never forgotten it.

Does he try to run it up if given the chance?

It may have been Auburn when Malzahn was there.

I don’t think Saban liked Malzahn a whole lot when Kirby was still on staff and I don’t think Kirby liked Malzahn when he was still at Auburn.

No, Kirby won't try to run it up on purpose (unlike Spurrier who relished doing that to other teams). But, he'll put enough sting in it if he can to make it hurt. He just wants his players to play consistently hard, to execute and push it. He knows when to call off his Dawgs.

It's definitely UF. That's why he wants the WLOCP to be on campus.

So he could pay back what Spurrier did to us in 1995 in our stadium. If given the chance, CKS would let the Dawgs out for the full 60 minutes!

I remember a clip of Kirby firing up the team against a Mullen coached Gators team that had me cracking up.

Something along the lines of “Those bitches are soft. Go out there and destroy em’. I wanna kill em’ and bury em!”

He has always seemed like he had respect for Auburn but not Florida.

Beamer

I’m kidding, but there is apparently a spat between them and Kirby shows it when we play them

Beamer acts like a typical born-on-third-base coach and he didn't fit in well at UGA as the special teams coach. Nobody really got along with him, he was bratty and uppity.

When yall fire him in a year or two you'll be saying the same thing.

I’m no Beamer defender, but he fits in alright where he’s at. Sometimes it’s just not the best fit.

His antics do look pretty fricking silly when we’re losing though

He hates Florida more than any other program, but he hates Gus more than any other coach and he has no respect for him. The only time I can ever remember Kirby truly trying to run up the score was when he called a fake FG with less than 5 minutes left and a 27-10 lead vs Auburn in 2018.

After the 40-17 Auburn win @ JHS when Georgia was #1 Malzahn said on National TV “We beat the dog crap out of em” and I don’t think Kirby liked that one bit.

Spurrier vs Kirby

This should answer your question.

Kirby Smart is the polar opposite to Spurrier in terms of team hatred. He hates Florida. Probably more so than fans today. Hell, myself included. I don't have that deep seated hatred for them like I did during Meyer's days. I tried to hate them with Mullen, but just couldn't do it lol. Dammit Florida, make me hate you with extreme prejudice again.

If you don`t think ALA sticks in his craw you are crazy. He might hate FLA
but more than anything he wants to beat the Tide.

Kirbs dislikes UF immensely. He clearly didn’t like Mullen at all.

Seems like he is ok with Napier though. Positive-neutral maybe. They were on the same staff once. Doubt he runs it up IF given the chance.
