Because A&M finished higher. And it was a fricky season, of course the one season A&M was rolling (besides this one). Maybe we are just an election cycle team.

The answer to your question, my small-minded friend, is this:
Alabama fans did anything they could to discount 2019 as the best team ever. As in anything. For no reason. They felt the moniker was theirs because….well, roll tide.
Some of their fans even started hard legging 1995 Nebraska all of a sudden. Thst was when you knew their fragility on the subject.
But a season riddled by no-shows on the fan and player parts is so easy to diagnose as a joke season.
And you know it. Or maybe your small mind doesn’t get it.
