Saturday didn't prove much

I think there were positives but it didn't make me reevaluate the season's trajectory all that much. I don't have a ton of confidence in the trip to Baton Rouge. More worried now since they're a cornered animal too. Our defense is a far cry from TAMU's, so don't expect the same mileage at affecting the quarterback that Aggy got because no one else has really been able to do it that well all season. And my opinion on how the season goes after LSU is dependent on that outcome. If it is a loss, I could see some quiet quitting from seniors and short-timers much like what Saban endured after losing to LSU in 2007.

With that said, I was happy to see:

1. Better tailback run game production
2. No turnovers
3. Fewer dumb penalties. Especially considering that 3 of them were outright bad calls by the officials. Still need improvement
4. More focus on our most reliable albeit not explosive receiver, Bernard. He knows this offense, Milroe needs to trust this guy to hit the spots to keep the chains moving instead of targeting a true freshman 20 times.
