Tyler Buchner beat out Drew Pyne at ND for the starting QB gig.
Tommy Rees might be better than most believe.

Alabama fans: DeBoer has to learn that the SEC is different and you have to take every week seriously or you can get upset!
Also Alabama fans: That 34-0 win vs a top 25 SEC team doesnt mean anything because blah, blah, blah (insert goalpost moving bullshite comment here).

We won 34-0 against a SEC caliber team. Yeah I’m gonna be excited. Got a shutout. Team grinded thru some stuff. Some guys started running with some damn passion and may have gotten their mojo back. Defense played great. So yeah, I’ll be happy about it.

You impressed by getting dominated by Georgia and then reeling off wins versus App State, NC State, Stamford, Virginia, Wake Forest and Florida State none of which have a winning record?

Jalen “Radio” Milroe still struggling. The score should have been worse for Missouri.

Hopefully Bama can get better each week. Beating anybody is good. We're not the 66 Green Bay Packers.

Clemson is ranked 4th in the country in scoring against FBS teams that don't have winning records at 48.5.
They are ranked dead last nationally against teams with a winning record at 3.0 ppg.

Likening an Alabama player to someone with mental retardation is so cool, man. You're so cool.

Saturday didn't prove much
I think there were positives but it didn't make me reevaluate the season's trajectory all that much. I don't have a ton of confidence in the trip to Baton Rouge. More worried now since they're a cornered animal too. Our defense is a far cry from TAMU's, so don't expect the same mileage at affecting the quarterback that Aggy got because no one else has really been able to do it that well all season. And my opinion on how the season goes after LSU is dependent on that outcome. If it is a loss, I could see some quiet quitting from seniors and short-timers much like what Saban endured after losing to LSU in 2007.
With that said, I was happy to see:
1. Better tailback run game production
2. No turnovers
3. Fewer dumb penalties. Especially considering that 3 of them were outright bad calls by the officials. Still need improvement
4. More focus on our most reliable albeit not explosive receiver, Bernard. He knows this offense, Milroe needs to trust this guy to hit the spots to keep the chains moving instead of targeting a true freshman 20 times.

I’ve seen someone typing that radio stuff a lot the last couple weeks. Imaging being someone who gets off on not so subtle racism. What a personal identity to puff your chest to.

You can say a guy made a retarded play without saying he's actually retarded like Radio.

When Bama wins big, the other team sucked When Bama wins close or loses, the coach is terrible, didnt prepare the team at all and the players are lazy Maybe CFB is hard and success isnt built overnight or by just inheriting a few 5 star players.
Some of us are allowed to have opinions. Most logical people are happy with the win and effort Saturday, but we know Missouri wasn’t healthy. LSU will be the best team Bama has played since Georgia, and the game will be played in just as hostile of an environment as the Tennessee game. I didn’t expect a championship run this year, but I didn’t expect Bama to be this flat on offense.

This team ain't so dominant that you can't enjoy a 34-0 win over an SEC opponent.
I'm happy they won. Glad they did what you hope to do with a team limping into your own stadium: mollywop them and move onto the bye week.
It is important to understand it doesn't create any sweeping projections on future though. I think the bye week practices and self-assessment may do more to get this team where we'd like them to be than the results of Mizzou game. This will need to be a productive two weeks if they want to beat LSU in Baton Rouge.

Offense was 2 for 9 on 3rd down.
Alabama has got to get better on 1st down. Particularly when they decide to run. However, we had a 1 or 2 of 2nd-and-on-schedule downs that got wiped because of a procedural penalty. The combination of penalties and production is putting the offense in a bind on 2nd and 3rd down.
QBs like Tua, Mac, and Bryce could drag our asses out of these quagmires but it has really been an issue since 2021. We've got to be one of the most hit or miss offenses on 1st down. We're either hitting big plays or getting off-schedule due to lost yards or ineffective yardage gained. And again, really been like this for 4 seasons now.

It is my hope that Kalen learned much from the loss to UT and he has passed that on to his staff. I guess it is possible that Byrne or others spoke with him, but it appears there is a sense of urgency in place.
JMO but this game vs LSU (win or lose) is going to show much about this staff.

I would like everyone to stop with the radio thing. Just say he made a dumb play.
