I will say it again, 'The Offense needs a killer instinct",

Execution has to improve, let's crush our opponents hopes early, not kick field goals on short fields.

Monken did this more often than not.

I agree with this 110%.. I know there are a lot of Bobo haters out there, I feel like he’s called some great offensive games this year, the offense hasn’t executed, dropped balls, missed blocks, etc…

No, Stet did that. It was his "we aren't going to lose this game because of me" attitude that is missing in our leader.

I think Smart likes the grind, wear, and win mantra on offense.

I think smart likes both, he likes large leads at halftime to offer up the rookies playing time.

I don't disagree about Stet, hell, he is my favorite UGA player of all time.

Points Per Game:

There's been a statistical dropoff, but a one point dropoff between 22 and 23 is statistically insignificant. So far in 2024, there is about a touchdown dropoff, but it's only a half season sample size and we've played 3 top ten teams on the road (with another one coming up in UTk, at least it's at home). This is the toughest schedule I think we've ever had in my lifetime. I think we finish higher than 33 ppg but getting back in the 40's will be tough to do, but it is achievable.

2022 41.1 Monken
2023 40.1 Bobo
2024 so far= 33 Bobo

I don't think it's all on Bobo, I don't think it's all on Beck. I think we've had depth problems at RB, WR, and OL. Against top tier competition like we've played so far, that stuff definitely shows.

Yards Per Play more often than not is the best statistic to judge an offense on. Last season we were 5th in the country (that damn Bobo!). In 2022 we were fourth and in 2021 we were also fourth.

So, we basically went from having a top 5 offense in the country for the previous 3 years to a borderline top 25 offense this year.

The offense is definitely wimpier this season, but at the same time perhaps we've been really spoiled.

There's no clear number 1 RB or WR. That's the difference.

I disagree on RB. Etienne is our clear #1 RB. The problem is his backups are a true freshman and Cash Jones, because of injuries.

The wild thing about WR, we actually do have a clear #1 also, and it's Arian Smith. The same guy that many people, including myself, don't think is very good. That room isn't just missing McConkey and Bowers, it's also now missing RaRa and Colbie. Bell is Good. Dom is good. Luckie is good. London is good. Nobody "great" out there catching balls for us right now.

Bell could be great. He has all the tools. Needs to clean a few things up. Arain show's flashes, but then misses assignments and catches.

It's all subjective, but I feel as if Etienne is the best running back we've had in at least 4 years.

You're right. They're all good, but no one is great. I was expecting Bell to step up this year but so far he hasn't.

I have a suspicion that Bell isn't spending 100% of his time in the WR room, and he's probably splitting time with the RB's because of our situation.

So much of this season is going to be who is healthy come playoffs. Another reason why the SEC championship hurts.

Good news is we are one of the few teams that don’t play an SEC game the last two weeks (even though we will be Tech’s Super Bowl).

Playing one of the best/most physical teams in the country without a week off is a penalty(SECCG). IF you play that game you better win and get the bye. So all cards on table.

Under almost every scenario, playing a home game after week off is better than SECCG.

Cash Jones is the best walk-on RB in college football. He can run, block, and catch passes.

I like Cash Jones. What I'm saying is :

Chubb/Michel/Swift is better than Etienne/Frazier/Jones

That affects offensive numbers and can influence opinions like "we need a killer instinct".

Listen Vandy had a killer Instinct vs Bama with 1-2 star guys. Talent helps but execution should not be about stars in recruiting.

It's a.mindset and execution.

To be clear, I want Beck to be a Christopher Walken esque Bond Super villain the rest of the year.

Kirby has said multiple times he’s phenomenal at pass pro.. it’s almost a guarantee it’s a pass play if Cash is in.

ETN is literally one of the best Rbs to have played here. Not the best, but in the top tier.
