The coaches are going to ask the offense to take less chances when the Defense is doing their thing. They are ok flipping the field with our punter in a lot of scenarios. Grinding first downs and wearing out the opposing defenses is a core Kirby value. The last game was kind of an anomaly as I feel like we took a few more chances early, but some of that was dictated on what the UT defense was doing. Also need to give credit to the UT defense. They made some plays. Still, we were up big at half, lost the momentum and then made a drive that well could become legend to take the momentum back. That drive doesn’t show in the stats how important it was and how resilient the offense was when they needed to get it done.
