Kirby believes that Beck has the talent to win it all even if the receivers are mediocre. Many of this year's interceptions were due to receiver errors. Beck is moving well in and out of the pocket. When we absolutely have to convert Beck can scramble like he did Saturday. I was thinking that Beck was too concerned with is draft stock but after Texas I think Kirby will pull everything together. Great defense covers up a lot of poor offense.

Beck is fine but he needs to get it together man.

Rewatching that pass to Luckie on his second pick. It is such a bad throw. Everything is perfect for Beck to execute that play.

Pocket is perfect and the throwing lane is wide open so there is no reason to miss that pass high. Set your feet and throw the ball at Luckies belly. Just super frustrating to watch. His receivers need to step up and help him especially early, but for us to go where we should be able to go, Carson has to live up to the hype.

Gunner has got to be a better option or we're going to have problems next year.

Also where can I find full game replays.

idk why but I doubt gunner starts. It just seems liek we don't ever hear a peep from him. It's weird because he was mega elite in HS and he's our clear #2 but it jsut "feels" like he's a goner. I would think Puglisi or rashada have a better chance than stockton although I'm basing that on absolutely nothing

Yes, was catchable. Could have been a better throw… yes. Catchable? Also, yes.

I would genuinely like to know what it is that people see that makes them think Stockton is the answer. I am asking in all sincerity. I just want to have an honest idea of what you guys are seeing that I do not.

I have the same feeling but I'm basing it on his limited game reps and his spring game appearances, he just doesn't jump off the page with anything above average. Sure, small sample size, but nothing really looked awesome.

Catchable yes but no reason to miss that bad. No dline in front of him so he didn't have to get it over anyone's hand.

If anything, miss low a few feet and pick up the first down.

Luckie could have made a great catch and saved Beck, but Beck shouldn't miss that throw that bad ever

Yah, I haven't heard any news out of Gunner. I can't recall how he looked in the spring game. I just remember it being very sloppy as spring games usually are. Beck's head is obviously not in the right place. Who knows what's going on. Maybe he is feeling the pressure of both being starting QB at UGA and his falling draft stock. Last news stories I heard still had him as one of the top 2 QB's in the draft. That can't be right or maybe there aren't that many highly rated QB's this year coming out.

Sorry, but a receiver 15 yards away getting both hands on the ball is never ever ever considered a miss by the QB in tackle football.

I'll agree to disagree I guess. You obviously know more than I do but I think even Carson would say that was a bad throw.

Can't miss high on that throw in red zone. Especially with an wide open lane available to throw it low and keep the ball safe.

Peter's just being glib to fight off the moronic Carson haters.

Carson will say it was a bit high and I should have thrown a better pass, Luckie will say he should have caught it …and they would both be right.

I honestly wonder if it might have settled Beck down, if Kirby had done what was done with Archie. Give Gunner a possession or two for Beck to get his head on straight.

Also, I wonder if he just can't handle back to back good years. Remember his high school days? As Junior, Mr. Florida. As Senior, WTF?

I hope he gets it together, but dang, many of those passes are so bad and right to the defense.

I do love his run for the first down. That was cool.

Then you're inviting a QB controversy.

In a game we were winning, lay off the dope

I watched Richt put Shock in for a series and he threw an int that cost us an undefeated season....

Rethinking Beck…
Don’t he’s our best option at QB right now and puts us in the best position to compete at a very high level. We can nitpick him to death and I know he’s beating himself up over his play so far this season. But bottom line is we have to have some playmakers step up and make plays when needed. This is college football, it’s not going to hit you square in the chest or in your hands every play but if it’s in your area we need to be coming down with the catch. That alone will help Beck and this team reach their full potential

Kirby's style isn't bringing in another QB like Sark, Spurrier, or Saban. He establishes the #1 guy and rides with him. The only reason he gave Fields some series I think is because it was part of the deal in order for him to commit and Kirby made good on his promise. Those times we tried to use Fields in the red zone didn't work and then of course that dreaded fake punt seemed to be the nail in the coffin for Fields. He seemed really upset about being put into that playcall.
