I have seen several say the play wasn't PI, but the Texas player blocked the Georgia player while already facing the QB. Once he stopped and redirected the UGA player, it was easy for him to see the ball and the rest is history.
If it wasn't PI, then nothing is PI short of tackling the receiver.
If it wasn't PI, then nothing is PI short of tackling the receiver.

I don't think its PI but a lot less is called every Saturday.
The delay of game should have been penalized. Texas would have had the ball at the 12 or 13 or so instead of the 7 or 8. The way UGAs defense was playing and the lack of offense on Texas part that 5 yards makes Texas final score of the game far less certain. The TD after the interception required UGA to go for a TD on 4th and goal from the 1 in order to maintain a 2 score lead. They fricked up the PI call, did an incredibly shitty job of correcting that (at best they did a shitty job correcting it, there may be more to the correction than anyone will ever know) and then they compounded it by not flagging UT for delay of game which in turn meant UGA gambled on 4th and goal instead of kicking the FG.
Bad PI calls happen numerous times in numerous games every week. It'd been nice if that wasn't so but it is. There is zero excuse for not flagging UT for a delay of game after their fans threw a temper tantrum. Missing those sorts of calls is unusual because that type of behavior is unusual. It will not be going forward....there is not a fan base in CFB who would not act the same or worse if it meant their team got a call at an opportune moment. It is entirely within the rules of the game that there could have been multiple penalties over the temper tantrum.

After the game, Arian stated that the DB grabbed his jersey.
Kirby was right, it should have been a holding call, but in any case, the ref was justified in throwing a flag.

Our DB never took his eyes off the ball and by the the time the Georgia receiver turned around it was already picked. If you're trying to argue PI was the right call, you're the only one in the entire country.

One player turned and saw the ball and stopped his forward motion and went for the ball.
One player did not turn or look for the ball and continued his forward motion directly into the other player.
Which player shopld be penalized?
