Depth, recruiting, Those are really the same thing.

Depth is a part of recruiting, that much is true. I purposefully called out depth separately, because I wanted to give a succinct assessment.

No they are not. You can recruit great players but you have to coach them up and get them prepared for when needed.

You need one to have the other. If you are able to develop your starters, you should be able to develop the other recruits. Simple.

Congrats Georgia. Y’all showed up and played your best game of the year.

Lol.

The UGA defense may have played their best game. But UGA's offense played horrible. 285 yards of offense and 3 turnovers isn't a good game for UGA. UGA had their WORST offensive game of the year, but still won. The only game UGA was close to this bad on offense was against UK... but they didn't turn the ball over at all in that game.

UGA's best offensive game was probably Clemson this year. 447 yards and 0 turnovers against a very good defense. And we only really showed up for a half against them.

The reality is UGA still hasn't put together a full game this season and the game against Texas wasn't even close to a full game. UGA has a ton of room for improvement.

UGA was one sided in the game against Texas. The offense was bad and the defense was good.

UGA was one sided the other way against Bama. The offense was good and the defense was bad.

UGA was close to having both sides covered against Clemson. The defense was good all game. The offense wasn't great in the first half but was very good in the second. UGA beat a top 10 team 34-3.

What is scary about UGA is that they haven't put the full game together yet and still have two top 10 wins, neither one at home. UGA is still about "potential" this season. You didn't get beaten by a team incapable of good offense (like OU). You got beaten by a team that has shown they can light it up on offense... but they didn't have to do that to beat your team by 15 points on your field.

That is scary for everyone else. Because Carson Beck CAN air it out for 400+ yards and 3 TD's. You got a less than 200 yard effort with 3 picks and still lost.

Whoever wins the natty will have to beat UGA. It’s that simple.

Yes

I credit that more to Alabama getting complacent in the second half. It happened a lot to Texas last year in blowouts, ultimately allowing teams to come back.

Yes. The defensive front was able to get pressure with 4. I said all week that if your offense didn’t show up, Georgia loses. I was wrong.

The defensive line won y’all the field position battle which allowed for easy scores. Credit to them.

Please inform me, what (outside of the Georgia DL) looked good last night? The run game? Sure.

Texas fans have been stuck in the defenseless finesse first Big 12 so long they genuinely think controlling a game with lockdown physical defense and a strong power running game makes for a "bad" football team.

Actually wasn’t UGA’s best game. Too many turnovers and sloppy play.

I used “good” when I should’ve used “great”. Georgia looked like a good team last night.

“Strong power run game” that’s a questionable statement. It looked adequate. 3.9 yards per rush is solid, but not “strong”.

Good thing for us is that Texas won’t play another front 7 like that for the rest of the season.

That number got deflated from that last scoring drive when I’ll admit that was definitely a touchdown on his first attempt. Etienne was getting over 5 yards a carry.

We see lots of really immature and unaware posters make this claim about a lot of teams.

It's usually the LSU fans declaring so n so sucks though.

I've read on here that Bama is awful. Tennessee sucks. Georgia sucks. Texas is soft. Ole Miss sucks. aTm is bad. I bet I could find a moron who claims LSU is terrible.

News flash, these teams are not bad. They don't suck.

They lose games sometimes, particularly to each other.

If UGA isn't good, noone is any good.

Some of you posters are just stupid.

No, you don't understand. If it's only the team's d line, linebackers, o line, running backs, and skill position blocking game that are playing at elite levels, then it's not a great team.

Great teams just have QBs slinging pass after pass after pass to WRs, and nothing else happening on the field matters.
