I've said this in other threads. IMO, he's either hurt or he's afraid of getting hurt. Last year, the guy ran like he was angry. This year, not so much.

He's also whiffed on pass protection on a regular basis. Honestly, if he's hurt, have him sit out a few games and give his carries to Richard Young or Daniel Hill. Young is a very physical runner and runs with authority and Hill is a big dude at 235 lbs. I'm 99% sure either of those guys can consistently pick up that tough one yard you need on 3rd or 4th and 1.

The whole perception of Gibbs changes if he catches that ball against Tennessee.

Hopefully, this is the last year we have #45 playing offense for Alabama. The guy has never had a dirty uniform in his 8 years at Bama.

If Milroe gets the glory and heisman talk for the uga win, he gets the doghouse for the Tenner loss.

Simple as that.

Haynes: runs too upright, goes down at first contact, and cannot pick up a blitz well. He’s a good receiving back; it’d be better to get him out in the pattern on passes. Let him run that wheel route that we killed UGA with.

Just my .02 cents, but nothing is wrong with your backs. UGA would give a kidney for either of your backs right now. Your backs just aren't being utilized in the offensive scheme....and I don't see that changing. Milroe had what: 45 pass attempts and you guys led most of the game so it wasn't like you were trying to overcome a 3 score deficit. The scheme is just not smash mouth, run oriented football and as a result the RBs aren't featured. We've experienced the same thing with Bobo as our OC. He can get pass happy and tunnel vision about throwing the ball. Case-in-point: Sat we were up 2 scores on Texas with 10 min. left in the 4th. One would think the goal would be to run time off the clock. Bobo called 3 passes and burned 36 seconds.

Doesn't excuse a 5 star 220lb RB not lowering his shoulder and attempting to get 1 yard while opting to do a dance routine in the backfield instead. Nothing to do with scheme.

It really is baffling. Everything we saw from him coming into this season indicated that Haynes was going to be a dude. The guy seemed to be a tackle breaking machine-a punisher. But he has been a total, way too easy to tackle dud this season. Just one of the many frustrating things about our team.

Meh. Not in the same tier as most who came prior.

He was basically a speedster. Not the type to lay the wood. Trent, Henry, Ingram would lay the wood.

That's what I was getting at. We had RBs that would "make his arse quit."

Don't forget about Jacobs and Robinson. Those guys are both physical runners and have turned out to be NFL starters for multiple years.
