Muss, on his love for Arkansas:
“I watch as many Razorback games as I can. What a win for the football team last week! I’m always pulling for the Hogs any time I see them play. It was an incredible place to live and coach and I feel like they’re in a great place moving forward.”

Muss, on Yurachek hiring Calipari:
“Everybody knows Arkansas is one of the best jobs in the country. Hunter Yurachek did incredible work getting Coach Cal. We were selling out BWA. Obviously that will continue. They have a very talented roster and obviously the fans are all in.”

Muss, on relocating his family to LA:
“We’re a half mile from the beach. My sons are within a couple miles of us. Mariah is still adjusting. It’s been hard for her though. She had unbelievable friends in Arkansas. Danyelle misses her social circle there too.”

Thanks muss for getting us into the big dog scene so we could land a top 5 coach and when Cal hangs it up in 5 years we’ll be ready to rehire a top 5 coach. Also thanks for waking up Tyson for NIL!!!!

He got mad here when we didn't fill the Bud for a crappy team. He's going to be livid when nobody is in their stands against UCLA. And all those cross country trips.

No little 1-2.5 hour SEC flights any more. Many 3-5 hour trips.

He wore out his welcome and hated doing the booster glad handing stuff that Cal excels at.

It is what it is. He's a drifter and showed what any capable coach can do here.

Appreciate all he did but he hit his ceiling and completely lost a team that had the talent to be much better.

Met a guy at my cousins wedding from Reno recently that knows him and his circle well from the Nevada days and he firmly said the "rumor" stuff about weird crap going on with the team was accurate to some degree for what its worth.

Just a cluster you know what but for once we came out on the right side of it.

No he's not. He's getting a paycheck and living in Southern California. The rest is irrelevant

The guy went back home and I’ll never fault him for that. He brought us back to relevancy and I appreciate that.

Yeah, I will never understand any vitriol directed towards him.

Particularly since we've all been saying that Muss would leave, sooner or later, for a West Coast job eventually. He didn't exactly keep it a secret he loves living in California. His wife and daughter were pretty upfront about loving it here so I imagine that created a wee bit of tension at the dinner table for a while.

Regardless, his departure was about as predictable as these things get. I hope he enjoys life on the West Coast. It definitely wouldn't be my choice (visited LA once and it sucked) but more power to him.

And for once we didn’t have to burn the program down with our coaching transition, which seems to always be the case in football.

Muss did too much for us to be mad at him. Also gotta love how he still speaks of us. Sounds like he wanted his whole family close again and I don't fault him there.

I like everything about him except for the collapse of last season.

We were wandering around in the desert pre-Muss. I'm grateful as hell he elevated our program back to national relevance, which allowed us to get Coach Cal.

Home is a strong pull and I can't fault him for going back to his home base.
