What is a growing pain?

New coaches and players adjusting to the day to day culture in the building and at practices , coaches coming into a new conference for many, getting to know each young man on the team or how to get the most out of each player. New systems on the field and off (discipline, nutrition , S&C , team meetings) . I could probably think of ten or twelve more if I tried but for anyone to think we were going to pick right up from 2020 ( even Saban couldn’t ) is really being unfair or naive to this staff

ETA- and don’t forget , Deboer jumped at the chance to come to Bama when I am not convinced many good coaches wanted that pressure but he did. He is a great tactician IMO . People just don’t need to compare him to Saban or we will be looking for coaches every few years and sink into mediocrity

I'm downvoting you because you didn't quote WW's entire post and you should've. He makes a much better point than you.

The first emboldened part. No one thought that. No one at all. We all expected so called "growing pains" or whatever the frick else, but this level of dysfunction is completely unexpected. This team is legit fricked up.

The second emboldened part is right, but the guy is making about 11 million dollars a year to lose to Vanderbilt and get slapped around by the Cocks.

My expectations here are not unreasonable.
