Yes, it needs to stay focused on recruiting (as much as possible). During the season we will do individual game threads for the games, same as we do for football.

Have seen the football recruiting thread? 50% or more of it has little to do with recruiting.
Maybe we can keep it below 50% in the basketball "recruiting" thread to appease the bosses.

Why I said as much as possible. I'm fine with it operating in the same manner as the football recruiting thread. It just doesn't need to be an all encompassing thread. Focus should be recruiting news and discussion. When it comes to general news and games, new threads are what Chicken wants.

What is the overall plan regarding talent acquisition?

Those numbers are probably close to what it will be. Seems like that will be Bruce’s plan for the foreseeable future. Couple high school guys and then fill in the role players from the portal unless there is a huge splash portal guy out there.

It looks like we’re in great shape with Bryson Tiller, I think he might be in commit watch at some point soon

We’re in decent shape with 6 of the top 20 players in the country, and 2 more in the top 100. I would think 3-4 out of HS and the rest portal but we’re in on a lot of top talent, basically the best players on Overtime Elite.

Looks like we could be losing 10 of our 12 next year. I assume our freshman return but not sure about several having remaining eligibility and if they would use it. Bruce and staff will have a huge roster turnover but I think that’s going to be the norm in this NIL / transfer world.
I know Bruce originally stated only 1-2 freshman per cycle but I think with possibly 11 spots, I agree with makersmark and tigerprowl, I could see 3 freshmen. Love the program’s position to get talent out of the portal though.
Really looking forward to this season, hope all the guys gel for a nice run this year.

Yep 10 of the top 12 are seniors.
I would think we would go for 5 high school players and 5 transfers.
