Greatest College football team of all time…

1899 Sewanee Football.. Sewanee was one of the first college football powers of the South and the 1899 team was one of its best. The 1899 Tigers won 12 games and lost none, outscored opponents 322–10, and won the Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Association (SIAA) title.
With just 18 players, the team known as the "Iron Men" embarked on a ten-day, 2,500 mile train trip, where they played five games in six days. Sewanee had five shutout wins over Texas (in Austin), Texas A&M (in Houston), Tulane (in New Orleans), LSU (in Baton Rouge), and Ole Miss (in Memphis). Sportswriter Grantland Rice called the group "the most durable football team I ever saw."[2] The road trip is recalled memorably with the Biblical allusion "...and on the seventh day they rested."

I refuse to believe the best team of all time was led by coach O.

2019 LSU team was indeed special.
However, the GOAT team should have a great coach worthy of leading such a team.
The real GOAT team actually had the GOAT HC. Plus, this team had 3 players who could have won the Heisman that year. Just better by a definite slight margin.
"Unrivaled"

Yes, the team that played away games where capacity was at 1/8th of regular crowds should be called the greatest team of all time. Lmao what a joke

Wouldn't them being led by Coach O only further confirm just how great of a team 2019 LSU was?

Man, you played a heck of a ball game to win it all that day - probably the best National Championship game I've seen in my lifetime.
By the way, is Mack Brown as cool as everyone says he is?

1995 Nebraska Cornhuskers

- Defeated four teams that finished in the AP Top 10 by an average score of 49-18.
- Their closest game was a 14 point win over Washington State; their next closest was a 23 point win over #7 Colorado.
- They defeated #2 Florida in the 1996 Fiesta Bowl by the score of 62-24 to win the national championship. Florida had likewise been dominant that year, with their closest games being 11 point victories over #7 Auburn and #6 Florida State.

I guess if you are a homosexual. Austin and Southern California ain’t nothing butt. A lot of locker room frolicking, I’m sure.

Either them or the 1905 University of Chicago Maroons.
Perfect 11-0
Outscored opponents 271-5 during the season. Every game but Indiana was a shutout.
The played the first game of the century against the 1905 Michigan Wolverines, who came into the game undefeated at 12-0 having outscored their opponents 495-0.
Chicago won 2-0 as Denny Clark of Michigan was dropped for a safety after muffing a punt and then trying to return it from the endzone. Michigan had a 56 game winning streak snapped in the loss.
The various papers were so vicious about Clark's performance that he transferred away from Michigan and apparently never got over his mistake.
