Dan Wolken/USA Today :
"Every Saturday in the fall under DeBoer’s watch, there are going to be enough
clenched fists, jaws and other orifices within a 300-mile radius of Tuscaloosa to make De Beers (sic) consider a rebrand."
ALWAYS GOING TO BE A HIGH-WIRE ACT

Real question is how do the players respond? Do they tighten up and buy in or do they throw temper tantrums like we saw Sat. and fight against the coaches?

We will know real quick.

DeBoer is learning on the job. If he thinks scoring is everything, he needs to head back to Washington. As wont be Bama's coach after 2026 at this rate.

Bama fans are melting everywhere. My good Bama buddy has crawled into a cave and won't show his face.

Welcome to the world of NIL, Bama fans. Saban saw the writing on the wall.

Doesn't look like DeBoer is developing his players, just trying to leverage what Saban built. Not gonna be good for Bama in the long run.

Yes, but even Miles' only two losses at LSU his first year were nail biters at 3 AU and at 5 FL.

He definitely didn't lose to unranked Vandy. And while he also took over a Saban team and program, it didn't have nearly 20 years of Saban's hand, nor the blue chip talent De Boer inherited...

No.

What Miles accomplished his first year was incredible.

I don't think any first year coach could have done that.

Whole schedule re-worked, player's families living in their dorm rooms, practices with rescue and triage traffic flying over head, no bye week and the only two losses were on a Monday night for a game rescheduled due to a second hurricane and the SEC Championship due to player fatigue.

Deboer couldn't have managed that.

Btw: they played Vandy that year and won 34-6

Damn, you're right. I need more coffee and thought 2006 was Mile's first season.

2005 was even more impressive by Miles than 2006.
