One group gets paid..one group pays to be entertained.

We have great fans that travel and commit.

Should we have had juice for Tennessee Tech too?

Maybe Kirby was in his feels after last week. Wanted the fans to just magically forget.

True

But I like having a coach who knows the value of a home field and demands it.

Warching the Falcons on prime time I was embarrassed. Not 1 false start on the opposing offense. Pathetic "home field."

Magically forget what? A regular season loss for the first time in 4 years? That's spoiled as frick.

Our crowd can affect the game when it wants to. Arky game and UTK game for example

Kirby probably expected more for a rivalry game with a 330 kickoff. He is well within his right to call it out imo.

It’s the NFL. They almost never get false starts due to crowd noise. They have way more complicated snap count processes. That falcons crowd was great

Hey Kirby, know what would help get the fans excited, not coming out unprepared against Bama. Getting a turnover or INT against an turnover prone Auburn team.

This just not true.

Seattle, Pittsburgh, Detroit and on and on create offensive penalties due to crowd noise.

The stadium was packed, but the football IQ of the fans in the dome is low. They get loud when we have the ball.

And I'll add that even if you don't get the penalty called. Having a QB barely hear his headset and communicating from the OC, then having to last minute scream blocking instructions or audibles and barely snap the ball with a second left is also a big assist to a defense.

It was silent in the dome for 3 quarters.

That team just handed us our last (now two) loss(es).

Lets not pretend how we offensively and defensively started that game or hell played most of it was anything but pitiful. Was that the fans fault?

Kirby won the game. The stadium was sold out. We played average but not exceptional or overly inspired.

He should have just left that one under his hat.

lol

Do you think two time national champion Kirby Smart is oblivious to the obvious issues this team has?

Hey Kirby… Have your team ready for once and score some points in the 1st half. A TO would be nice too… Give us something to cheer about.

Look it sucks Bama is our daddy, I'm fully aware. I'm sure it bother Kirby 1000x more than us.

My point is using that as an excuse to not be an effective home crowd or to say the team doesn't deserve our attention or support is weak as frick bro lol

Like how spoiled can you be?

Im glad Kirby said it. We criticize him and the players all the time, some deserved some not, so I think it's fair for Kirby to call us out. shouldn't hurt your feelings.

It was pretty quiet but damn anytime there was some crowd momentum we’d run a boring play for 0.5 yards. Or we’d miss tackles. We’re not hitting hard and just look all around soft. Something I’d never see a Kirby team do. UGA fans are spoiled with talent but if the team doesn’t look like they’re playing with heart the fans will feel it too.

Not sure if you are talking to me but can’t remember the last home game I missed and travel to many away games.

Can’t say shite if you weren’t at the game. Not sure Kirby was talking to the couch sitters.

Kirby wanted fire and there was nothing to fuel it.

Loss last week, overmatched opponent, slow start, less than exciting play execution. There were moments the crowd stepped up, a number of them Auburn converted on.

Pretty sure some of what Kirby was saying was self reflection.

The Liquid IVs to me are a godsend perfect for hot day or a hang over. Drink one of those in the morning after a day of drinking , headache is gone in 30 minutes works better than Advil IMO

The crowd sucked and it had nothing to do with heat. We're just spoiled and bored. It was a pathetic atmosphere.

I bet he's trying to get out ahead of the slide he/we saw with Bama fans as they grew spoiled with Bama's success.

I was there and the game never really felt like it was in jeopardy so that probably fed into the energy as well. Never heard boos except when the Auburn player seemed to flop for an injury.

What? Was only a couple clouds and lower sun, direct heat + humid. Definitely was a factor.

sorry but this is bullshite. We somehow have no trouble getting loud for the non-cupcake september games when it's much ,much hotter. When we used to play Tennessee the first weekend in October we somehow have never had issues getting loud for that. Hell it was only 3 short years ago we played Arkansas at noon on this same weekend and it's regularly recounted as one of the loudest atmospheres we've had in deacdes. [As an aside, a historical chart shows the weather on that day at 81 degrees at noon, while this past saturday was 82 degrees at noon. Not sure about 3:30 though]. Also worth noting the entire south side was in the shade by pretty near after kickoff.

I've been to every AU game in athens since 1997 and this was without a shadow of a doubt the tamest and pathetic atmosphere out of all of them. Even in a year like 1999 when we got our brains beat in at least it was loud for some portion at the start before we went off the rails. The loudest cheers (other than crossing the endzone for scores) all day were 1) showing vandy highlights and 2) some kid dancing in the aisles during a timeout. There was ZERO noise when we were on defense. The crowd in general was also kinda fricked up. There were quite a few AU fans in areas around me. One of htem was a family with a ~5 year old...can you imagine 20 years ago taking a 5 year old as an AU fan and sitting smack dab in the middle of a UGA sectino? It simply wouldn't be done. There were a few others around me that were louder than any UGA fan on the rare occasion they did something good. They would shout and holler and everyone around them would just kinda give a half turn and scowl at them but that was about it. Not advocating for any physicality or anythin like that, but if we had the atmospphere we're supposed to those things wouldn't have even been noticed.

Here's a good thought exercise for everyone. Had we hung on and beat bama in thrilling comeback fashion, do you think the atmosphere against AU would have been an exact replica of what happened? I think if you're honest with yourself it'd take a half second to say "hell no". We'd be undefeated, ranked #1, off one fo the biggest regular season wins we've had this century, riding high, and everyone juiced. So if we do agree with the above, we're point blank acknowleding that the crowd's behavior and involvement is dependent on our record or how good we are or our "momentum", which is shite. Before 2021 our crowd wasn' the loudest in America but for big games it got PLENTY loud and certainly influenced opposing offenses. After back to back we're now just spoiled rotten. You can blame anything and everything else you want othe rthan than the actual issue, which is simply that our fans have lost the energy and passion they had prior to us winning at such a high clip.

I'm hoping that MAYBE auburn being bad and losing here all the time contributed. I'm hoping that for Tennessee we get back to how we should be. But still...the crowd's job is to be loud and raise hell and the players without a doubt feed off of that. It's not supposed to be the other way around where if the team isn't doing as well as you thought you're going to be quiet until they score a TD or something.
