That’s all there is to it. Had a lot of luck winning one score games last season. The magic is gone. The player leadership is gone.

All that’s left is Drink looking stupid as frick with his Drinkisms when he trots out performances like this.

Not just on the field.

Attitude. Focus. Adaptability. Fight. I could go on.

Whatever is wrong with Cook is impacting his running game and throwing......and they keep putting him out there. He under threw multiple open Wrs today.

The front 7 looked unprepared today and there were no adjustments to run fits.

Pyne should start and play entire game vs umass. The additional reps do nothing for cook. If Pyne has a good game, lights fire under cook and shows coach what backup can do. If he doesn’t, takes some of the pressure off cook and drink. Shows it’s the only option.

Pinkel always put the back-up qb in to run a few plays to see him in game, Drinkwitz just doesn't believe in that philosophy. It's remarkably arrogant.

It's his future son in law.

He's thinking long term.

Yes but we had a steady stream of QBs. He was always grooming heir apparent. Brad, chase, gabbert, Franklin, lock. Pretty good run.

Paying drink 9 mil you can hire any coach for that

He's certainly not good enough to play when physically diminished

He is a one read QB with an average arm and sub optimal accuracy on anything over 25 yds.

Its almost like some of our fans try to convince themselves that what they see from him over the last two year isn't who he really is. Some folks are gaslighting themselves.

He is a serviceable QB on team that can afford to have a serviceable QB

2024 Mizzou is not that team.

He’s a backup on an SEC team that shouldn’t see much abuse so when/if he comes in, he can go 100% on destined runs or scramble drills and be good enough to hit a pass or two.

He’s not a QB of a playoff team. He was a liability in a lot of games last year masked by the D clutch stands and Shredder.

And Drink will throw the rest of this season away trying to gaslight the fans into thinking he’s smarter.

Back to my point about pyne, play him next week. Yes he doesn’t have same wheels as cook but we have nothing to lose. We should be able to run ball at will. That game is a freebie and should be used to answer some questions. With that being said, slim chance we win this game today with D giving up 40+. I was afraid they would prepare for reed all week.

Yes. If not, Drink can shove the calling out of the fan base in the pre season right up his own arse

We can argue if it’s Nil or drink, but this team is talented. I give most of the credit to drink. How it’s being utilized is another question. We have a young OC and still inexperienced head coach. I remember several years being in the other receiving votes rather than ranked

$9 mil per season can buy some experience if that's the excuse.

A non-100% Cook is not a winning formula. Hell. He’s less effective with an inability to run than he is with an inability to pass.

He’s been awful carrying the ball all year. Tripping all over his own dick out there today every time he scrambled.

This is the problem when you have a QB that isn’t particularly lethal with either skill.

Can’t believe Pyne can’t hit guys in stride with the easy short slants, digs, and screens.

Telling that we can’t even adapt the O to utilize the TEs more with Cooks pitiful vision and accuracy. You have to actively suck to miss those guys.

He’s compensated well no doubt. But $9mil at Missouri isn’t same as $9mil at Alabama. We have to invest in potential, pay a little more up front and build some loyalty. Missouri is a good job but pay being equal, we aren’t competing with established brands for coaches. We need to invest in young and upcoming talent. With that said, prep and in game decision making needs to improve. Potential can fade and you quickly become the results you produce.
