When did dreadlocks flowing out of the helmet go out of style?

Remember a few years ago when it seemed that every player, especially playmakers, would have long dreads.

Now it’s nobody. When did that go out of style?

Just like every fashion trend, it comes and goes. We still have one tight end with dreads, think he's the only one though.

At least it’s not coinciding with the short shorts and the white undershirt hanging out. I don’t know what is worse. Why are these guys such copycats? Be original.
