I'm going to start off by saying yesterday was eh.

Missouri (who I am not fond of playing ) escaped Vandy (who may surprise a lot of teams this year? Missouri didn't play well against BC either so).

I'll drink the kool-aid and say we win by 3. Go into the bye week 5-1 and secure bowl eligibility against State (who lost bad to Toledo, although they did give t.u a fight). From there we just have to win out. I think there's a chance we walk into Kyle against tu with only one or two losses. Who knows maybe I am getting ahead of myself

Flashes of good running game. Flashes of a good passing game. Defense overall is pretty solid and can apply severe pressure.

Going to need a lot more than flashes of good running and good passing as we move forward.

It’s interesting as most people predicted 5-0 or 4-1 to start the season, which is where we are at, but yet a lot of the fanbase isn’t happy with how we got here. Maybe that’s a good thing? We are expecting better of this team?

I told y’all we needed to pump the brakes on Marcel after the Florida game. Florida is a really, really bad team. Arky is a bad team too and he struggled against them. His best attribute is he doesn’t turn the ball over, couple that with good scrambling ability and we are squeaking out wins. Need to develop the passing game, we are gonna need it down the road.

Mizzou I haven’t seen much of, outside of part of their game vs vandy. They looked fairly average in that contest. Hope we can scheme something up this week on offense because I think we are gonna need more than 21 points to win this. Need to find a way into the 30s at least.

They really struggled against a decent, but not a team that they should have in Vanderbilt

It will be an interesting game for certain, Missouri is always been a tough game for us just like Arkansas

Mizzou does a little motion pre snap but it's usually a TE just changing strong side n weak side calls instead of the jet motion action that Hawgs started w and got away from. Also their LBs were lined up behind the D Line vs Vandy rarely walking up. After the bye I expect them to feed Burton. Vandy pressured the QB a lot so I expect us to do the same. Gonna need Turner n Regis to have big games vs all the stretch n zone blocking.

Jimbo was able to ride that kind of QB play w/Mond to the Orange Bowl.

While this year's schedule seems to be much tougher than that year it does still line up favorably for us.

I’m not knocking on Mizzou but this game will probably be close

Nervous about this one...we don't play well in early-morning games at home.

?

We've won 5 of the last 6 home SEC games that kicked off at noon. I think it's 8-3 since we moved to the SEC

So you’re already here, welcome.

I don’t think this game will have anything to do with the playoffs, I don’t think Missouri nor A&M will be in the top 15 at the end of the year

I think A&M's schedule is pretty light as compared to the alternate schedule (if we were rotating) on a 1-7 schedule.

Perm: LSU
Texas or Oklahoma
Auburn or Alabama
Florida or Georgia
Miss State or Ole Miss
Arkansas or Tennessee
Missouri or Kentucky
S Carolina or Vanderbilt

That is pretty lopsided.

The same rationale for Texas below.

Perm: Oklahoma
A&M or LSU
Florida or Auburn
Georgia or Alabama
Miss State or Ole Miss
Arkansas or Missouri
Kentucky or Tennessee
Vanderbilt or S Carolina

It's not perfect, but it at least makes sense to me. Yours.. not so much.

Point being.. I think you guys can make a run at 10-2 if you beat Missouri.

I’m a realist, your worst case scenario is now 9-3 and our best case scenario is 8-4

The bets already settled

You might want to wait until we play our next two games.

OU
GA
KY
ARK
A&M

All of those teams can beat us if we have a bad day. If and when we hit 9 wins, I'll let you know.
