I keep seeing people say this but he didn’t have Ladd and Brock especially together in that many games last year. They both missed time. He was able to play well without them last year.

He needs to install a tinted visor on his helmet during halftime, for one.
When you're down 28-0, you feel the weight of the world and get out of your routine. I think he's on road in front of 100,000 people, down big, and just simply trying to do too much. He's probably shitting his pants a bit, too, but I think most of us would in a nightmare scenario like he's faced with.
