Malzahn is a good coach. He was the brain behind Auburn in 2010 and almost did it again a few years later. He also played the the 3 best programs of the 2000s every single year.

That is an asterisk title because Auburn was on probation for getting caught paying players.

auburn is a loser school and always will be. It exists only to bring down Bama. No real 'winner' player will attend there. This is a fact. The times its had success has been flashes in the pan at best. It rides the coat-tails of big-brother Bama. Most years If Bama weren't forced to play them every year at the end of the year, they would be an after thought by late November. If Bama stopped playing them, it would absolutely crush them!

Some schools cannot keep winning football coaches... Only one's that moved up from the SEC.

Nick Saban from LSU Via Pros to Bama (LSU what might have been).

Tuberville from Ole Miss to Auburn

Mullen from MSU to Florida

So as I see it, LSU, Ole Miss and MSU are stepping stone type jobs.

Alabama did lose Curry to Kentucky and Franchione to TAMU, but those were different times.

Kentucky use to be, but not anymore? What alternate universe are you living in? If Lincoln Riley will leave Oklahoma for USC then a successful coach will leave Auburn. Auburn's history doesn't compare to either of those two programs.

Auburn is apparently a stepping stone to Congress. If you can handle those shitty rich boosters, you’re perfectly slimy enough for politics.

shite. I’d say sitting on my arse while Auburn pays me millions upon millions and they continue to implode IS bigger than anything in the football world.
Zero stress, zero pressure, zero expectations or boosters & admin breathing down your throat.

Harsin sitting at his wet bar on Monday morning sipping his coffee as he tweets out a barb at Auburn's loss while they pay him for another 2 years sounds like a great gig to me.

Auburn loves to talk about the past. When they could brazenly pay players with Yella$$. Now everyone can play that game. The future isn't going to be kind to Aubie football.

#2 school in Alabama, always will be, can't match what big brother can and will do. Soon, Aubie will be just like MSU or USCe, both have some success every decade or so, but neither can touch big brother.

Aubie will NEVER be a regular national power again. Turning into a basketball school before our eyes.

All of those coaches except for 3 stayed in Auburn long after they were done coaching here. Three of those coaches went to national championship games and 4 had perfect seasons; 2 won a natty. Sounds like Auburn historically is the place to go for your coaching career to flourish.

Yes, the Alabama legislature had to pass a law mandating Auburn play Alabama annually because Bama are scared.

I feel bad for Hugh Freeze. Assuming Auburn is better than Ole Miss is questionable

Until clown Harsin Auburn had 5 coaches in a row dating back to 1981 that either won a national title, went undefeated, or played for a national title.
