I understand that this is an Alabama website but after two unexpected losses this early in the season, what will their final record be for this season ? They are seriously staring down the barrel of a fourth straight losing season. They have Oklahoma next week. Then they have trips to Georgia and Missouri. Vanderbilt is much improved this year. Kentucky on the road looks tough. Texas A&M is a top 25 team. Then at Alabama to finish the season.

Where are the other two wins coming from ? ULM is the only guaranteed win left on the schedule right now in my opinion.

ULM is a better team than New Mexico and New Mexico had them on the ropes. Hooker Harsin is in for a long season

Hell, Vanderbilt just pushed Missouri into overtime. I wouldn’t be surprised to see them go into JHS and get a win later on in the season.

What commitments do they have we want to go after? Any elite level recruit is going to be looking. Why would you go there if you have options?

"A disgrace PR nightmare who touts morals and recruits high schooler.... good lord, Auburn has hired Roy Moore Jr."

2023 was the Auburn season where they kinda suck but play Alabama tough so the fans have some positive vibes.
2024 is the Auburn season where they kinda sucks but play Alabama in Tuscaloosa and lose by 3 touchdowns.
I just don't know if they can expect better that 7-5 given that the SEC has quite a few good offenses this year, their defense is only solid not exceptional, and their own offense is the worst in the conference.

Some of them seem to be getting it, but others are still blaming Harsin even though by all appearances they have gotten worse in year two under Coach Swaggart. Unless sanctions are in place there's just no excuse for making a bad team even worse.

My question is, after what their quarterback situation has looked like against somewhat competent teams, why would any good wide receiver go there ? I bet that Cam Coleman and Perry Thompson are deeply regretting their decisions at this point.

Especially with the transfer portal. It is easier than ever to get “your guys” in and they are losing at home to less talented teams.

It took until year 3 (2014) for Ole Miss to really compete for the division but they were competitive against all their best competition besides Alabama in 2013.
Something feels different about what we're seeing on the Plains. He signed another top 10 class in his first full offseason just like in Oxford but this team is a hot mess. It mostly seems due to not getting remotely close to Bo Wallace levels of competency out of Peyton Thorne. That is less forgivable in an era where you can just buy a starting quarterback.

The difference is that Freeze’s advantage at Ole Miss is he was openly buying players before you were allowed to do that. Hes never been some exceptional in game mastermind. Hes a glorified bagman who was always going to crash out in the NiL era because it undercuts his biggest advantage of not caring about rules.

Gus is a better on field coach than Freeze.

Its Auburn so they will luck into a couple wins if nothing else unless he just loses the team which he might, i think the Oklahoma game will be close one along with A&M and Vandy.

I honestly thought Hugh would have success there but boy was I wrong.
No sympathy from me though after hearing all the "Husky Harsin" jabs...

And you know what’s annoying? They’ll lose a bunch of games and STILL somehow miraculously show up for the Iron Bowl and give us a hard time.

Perhaps. Who knows what they will look like by then. Injuries always happen. But I always like our chances better when we play them at Bryant Denny Saban Field as opposed to JHS.
