This graphic is old. They are in the Atlanta metro now.

Whataburger's burgers are great, but their fries leave something to be desired. And that something is "flavor."

I have to agree with this. One time I picked up McDonalds fries to go with my whataburger.

Also north Alabama (Huntsville metro).
I was pumped when ours opened, but the quality just isn't there anymore. In and Out >>>>Whataburger

And if In N Out ever expands more eastward like whataburger has then their quality will suffer too. Which is exactly why they really haven’t past Texas.

This will bring the vitriol, but I agree.
I swear I've tried, but I just don't get the fascination over Whataburger.

That's just not even possible. In and Out is left coast. What are they doing in the SEC anyway.

We have both Whataburger and In N Out in Colorado. Appeals to the California and Texas transplants but not me. I prefer Shake Shack or any number of burger restaurants.

It's very meh. There are plenty better, cheap burgers around here.

Vitriol brought.
This is downright effeminate to choose LA girly burgers over a Texas staple.

Auburn, AL has a whataburger downtown now. For several years.

a normal burger from whataburger is like any burger. that sweet & spicy bacon, though. get it with grilled jalapenos

Agreed. I finally checked out Culver's and have to admit, the butter burger and cheese curds were pretty freakin' good. Great hangover food.

I will venture a guess that most of us on this board live within a fairly close radius to a gas station or a mom-and-pop BBQ joint with a cheap, huge greasy cheeseburger that absolutely smokes it.

Whataburger is a large ball of grease. I haven't eaten it in more than a year now. In N Out is still really cheap, but the burgers aren't all that large. Like I said, significantly better options in Colorado than both of them

I'll never understand Texans' obsession with Whataburger. Maybe they are better in y'all's neck of the woods but they are dog shite in other states.
