vs CSU QBR 91.4
vs UTSA QBR 99.9
Season 14/18 318 yards 5 TD 99.7 QBR 317.8 RTG
I don't care who you are playing, that's pretty good.

People saw Arch in high school and his team was over matched. He played at a small private school playing some of the bigger schools in the state. They assumed he sucked based on those games.
He was always not ready for P5 football as a freshmen. Few are. But people who knew what they were talking about knew he was going to be a hell of a QB. This shouldn't surprise anyone.

That eliminates about 90% of The Rant posters, and ... you know who.
Most said Arch was a name only and he stayed away from camps because he was too scared to compete. He has trained with NFL coaches and watched film his whole life; what could he possibly learn from Trent Dilfer?
Some of his throws were perfect, it wouldn't have mattered who he was playing.

It shouldn’t surprise anyone that he’s a great QB due to his lineage. Is football IQ at his age probably surpasses that of many NFL QB’s.
What I was most surprised about and the most impressed with was his speed on the long TD run. I didn’t know he had that. I think it’s possible that he has better running ability as a WB than Peyton or Eli. Archie was a pretty good RB back in the day when he played but times were different.
Arch is going to be a great NFL QB and will probably win the Heisman at Texas if he keeps this up. Fortunately I think the other kid is finished as QB at Texas.

Lot of LSU fans couldn't accept he was going to be good.

This is still Ewers team IMO, and he will likely start the OU and Georgia game, assuming good health. Arch looks really good, but he is also still learning.. Big Game Ewers is pretty damn good.
Hopefully, Arch can get some good PT the next couple of games. That will help us later this year if Ewers gets hurt or is having a bad game, and it will definitely help the team next year. I think it also makes it a little bit harder to prepare for Texas as a team will have to prepare for both QB's.
One thing is for certain.. this is Arch's team in 2025.

Not LSU level QBU handing out Heismans to errybody, but not bad.

I saw him several times live and often on TV when he was at Newman. He played against larger high schools yes, but in a somewhat weak 2A district. You could see the talent and his knowledge for sure. But once he hooked up with Sark I felt that it would be a match made in heaven. So far it appears to be a fact.

Chase has surprised me with how successfully he parlayed his career into broadcasting

Chase Daniels talking about Arch's great progression reads
Seems like we had another poster saying the same thing yesterday, but was met with an "army" of jealous pussies who don't understand football throwing temper tantrums and yelling "UTSA!!!

one he flicked his wrist for 40-45 yards while running left and twisting to flick it
touchdown
another he's running to his right, flicks his wrist off his back foot for another 40-45 yards
touchdown
"BuT aRcH Is OvERraTeD!!!

He may be the best quarterback to ever play college football is how good he is.
I would say his speed is better than Michael Vick's was at his age. His accuracy likely surpasses both Peyton Manning and Johnny Manziel's at this stage in his career.
His scrambling ability is, from what we've seen so far, even better than John Elway's was at his prime.
For once, in the annals of college football, we are all collectively witnessing a quarterback that transcends human athletic ability and reaches into the realms of the otherworldly.
I can't wait to see him actually start a game. Will he levitate? Not likely, but let's not say it won't happen. Don't bet against it.

That doesn't change the quality of throws he's making. Stupid take.

Maybe your take on his take is what is stupid. Quality of competition has no effect on throws a QB is able to make or complete?
His throws would be just as good and just as accurate with a defender draped all over the receiver like a pair of curtains?
He wouldn't make any adjustments whatsoever according to coverage and would be able to complete all the passes he is currently completing no matter the quality of the opponent's coverage?
I'm starting to think this version of Manning may actually be a deity of some type, like a football god.
