Am I the only one who still views teams through the east / west scope?

I still see South Carolina as an East team from the other side of the conference. Personally would like to see divisions brought back. Hell maybe even 4 divisions with 4 teams each. Each winner is automatically in the CFP.

I'm the same way. It feels weird without the divisions but I'm sure some old timers thought the opposite in 1992

I'm gonna take it further, I don't like having more teams in the Sec. I'd prefer it to go back to 14 teams with 2 divisions

I’d prefer to go back to 10 or 12

Yeah I don’t think I’ll ever stop viewing it as “East and West”. I still do it in basketball and baseball

My dad views South Carolina the same way we view Missouri

It will get real as soon as the 2 best teams go to Atlanta. The only place to hide in the SEC these days is when the SEC office decides to set Ole Miss and Missouri up with a shout-out to the East division days. And the Shorthorns get an east division reprieve as well.

There is a season within the season that no one has experienced yet. Unfortunately, the playoffs are not anywhere close to selecting the 12 best teams, but it's going to be a long, tough, winding road to the NC game.

I don't view it through an East and West lens, but it is weird when certain teams aren't on the schedule. Not playing Auburn feels so bizzare.

I was really excited when OU/TX was announced and the POD system was discussed. playing every opponent home and way every 4 years would be awesome and the most fair schedule you could ask for.

I see Texas as a West team and we just got here. Bring divisions back! It's more fun - and it would definitely be more conducive to the 9-game schedule structure.

For the first time, the SEC finally has the ability to put Mizzou in the West where they belong... but now we don't have divisions.

Ole Miss and Missouri

I mean it’s kind of brilliant by the sec league office really.

No one can claim Bama, Texas or Georgia is getting preferential treatment right off the bay when teams like Ole Miss and Missouri are the ones getting the gift wrapped schedules to kick off the expanded conference schedule.

Can you imagine if Bama or Texas had the schedule Ole Miss is playing? There’d be hell to pay.

No. Divisions were a joke and I am glad they are dead.

Amazing the NFL hasn't figured this out.

I want divisions back. This intermingled cesspool crap is lame.

As soon as Texas and Texas A&M start rising to the top, they will want divisions back.

Yeah, I definitely still view everyone through an East/West lens. I will say it will be nice to see some of the West teams we rarely saw come to Lexington playing here with a little more frequency. Texas A&M has been in the conference since 2012 and STILL hasn't played a game in Lexington. That's absurd.

Ok you didn’t even look at schedules if you think Ole Miss got an easier schedule than Texas in conference. They play six of the same teams. Ole Miss Travels to South Carolina and LSU while Texas has Vanderbilt and Texas A&M.

Poor take on your part.

We've been in the league since 2012 and Georgia STILL hasn't played a game in College Station. It's absurd.
