Good AM LSU fans. You ready to defend the refs for the rest of the week?
Shane Beamer shares displeasure over officiating, says he’s been in contact with SEC - The State
And are you ready for the Coup de grâce?
Apparently taunting has been a point of emphasis this year...

Shane Beamer is looking for some answers from the SEC after a number of questionable calls went against South Carolina in the Gamecocks’ 36-33 loss to LSU on Saturday. The fourth-year head coach finished up his media duties Saturday night and called SEC coordinator of football officials John McDaid, looking for some clarification on a number of penalties that went against USC. He also added that athletic director Ray Tanner has “had some conversations with the league office as well.” “I don’t typically send in a lot of plays (to the SEC office),” Beamer said. “A lot of the plays I send in are plays I either have a question about like, ‘What did you see?’ or ‘Explain this rule to me better.’ “I don’t think we’ve sent in any over the last two weeks. We have sent in quite a few today.”

The second: In the fourth quarter, Nick Emmanwori seemingly sealed the game with a 100-yard pick-6 but, on the return, Kennard forcefully shoved Nussmeier to the turf and he was called for unnecessary roughness. The Gamecocks received possession, but lost the points. “Any time there’s an interception, we tell our guys, ‘Find the quarterback, and make sure we get him blocked,’ ” Beamer said. “And it wasn’t vicious by any stretch of the imagination.”
quote:
The other bizarre flag was called against the South Carolina offense — and it was such an odd call that Chris Fowler and Kirk Herbstreit, calling the game on ABC, were outraged.
Backup quarterback Robby Ashford threw up a jump ball that receiver Dalevon Campbell miraculously came down with. It was going to be a gain of down the sideline for a gain of 43 yards until the referees called offensive pass interference on Mazeo Bennett, who was nowhere near Campebell or the ball.
Said Fowler on the broadcast: “Man if they called that on Bennett — a little bump in the secondary — that does not typically constitute pass interference.
And are you ready for the Coup de grâce?

The out-of-nowhere gripe that Beamer expressed on Sunday night, though, was over the refs not calling taunting on LSU following South Carolina’s last-second missed kick. “For that crew to throw 22 flags and on the last play of the game,” Beamer said, “I think there’s two very clear instances of taunting that happened after the kick.”

SEC office hears from Beamer, Tanner on officiating
quote:
It didn't take long for South Carolina football coach Shane Beamer to reach out to John McDaid, and athletics director Ray Tanner quickly followed suit. Once he was finished with his media obligations on Saturday after the 36-33 loss to LSU, Beamer called McDaid, the SEC's coordinator of football officials, to let his voice be heard.
quote:
"As soon as I left the press conference, I called the SEC head of officials," Beamer said on Sunday in his teleconference. "I know Coach Tanner has had conversations today with the league office as well. We're not going to sit around and complain about that; we'll move on to next week, but want to get some clarification on some things from yesterday."
quote:
There has been a lot of chatter about the numerous controversial calls that went against the Gamecocks (2-1, 1-1) on Saturday at Williams-Brice Stadium. Beamer said there was "not a lot of sleep" for him following that heartbreaking loss that would have put his team 3-0 overall and 2-0 in the SEC for the first time since the 2012 season.
"I saw a couple of things yesterday that were flags that I've never see in 25 years of coaching," Beamer said.
quote:
When placekicker Alex Herrera missed the game-tying field goal attempt, there were some Tigers (2-1, 1-0) who let the sixth-year senior hear about that miss.
"I've been told that this year in the SEC, celebrations are going to be allowed a little bit, but there's going to be a very clear emphasis on taunting," Beamer said. "For that crew yesterday to throw 22 flags and on the last play of the game, there are two very clear instances of taunting that happened after the kick, but no one decided to throw a flag on that one."
And that adds one more to the list of plays to take issue with.

He would have maintained more credibility if he had not thrown this one in. Now Beamer just sounds like a whiner.

Read the whole story before you chime in. Just like every other LSU fan. Operating off "feeling" and not fact...

But nothing will change the outcome of Saturday. Beamer knows that. And he wants his team to know that, which he admitted is a tough thing to convey. On one hand, supportive fans were telling the Gamecocks that Saturday’s game was “stolen” from them. “We’re not gonna seek comfort telling ourselves that,” Beamer said. “At the end of the day, we didn’t do enough to win the game.” Beamer continued: “Having said that, when you watch the tape with the players today, they’re not blind.”

The SEC needs to axe the Autry Crew from the rotation. They are notoriously bad and make themselves a part of the game more than any other crew. Just bottom of the barrel officiating.

Don't need to. We won and there's nothing you can do about it except whine like a bitch.

It’s over man. Time to move on. The real test for the team and coach will be what they do going forward. Can still have a good season or the downfall begins.

Who knew South Carolina fans were such whiny bitches?
Y’all were up 17-0 and scored additional touchdowns. LSU forced turnovers and broke your pussy QB. Caden Durham and Nuss broke their dicks off in that soft defense.
Cry more.

What? I'm passionate about my team? I can see injustice and call it out?
Yeah, I have a problem.

You realize LSU got penalized too, right?
And there were South Carolina got away with things that should’ve been called.
The blocked punt should’ve been called back. Robbie Ashford should’ve been called for intentional grounding as well.

No, I'm just quoting what Beamer said.
But is it a surprise to anyone that LSU players act like trash after the game?
No.

Explain this rule to me better.
I need that for the "guns" celebration. Lacy got a penalty first game for a quick one towards an opponent. This game he struts right up to the camera and gives a long one.
But, pistols in the holsters celebration has been around for a long time.
So what is the rule?

Oh man, he taunted after they won the game! Think of the children!
Next time y’all should just win the game. Don’t let Nuss and a freshman RB tear your arse up. Don’t let Harold Perkins and Sage Ryan of all people get to your QB and force turnovers. South Carolina didn’t lose on penalties; they lost on turnovers.

I thought the flag on the Pick-6 QB block was soft AF.
Couple plays before, a LSU player slammed a SCAR player late AF and got no penalty.
Def didn't help Sellers got hurt though.

Did they get that illegal blocked punt?
