Regarding SEC refs in general, Les Miles, after his first season, told boosters that when at Okie State he would talk to League officials twice a year. Once at the beginning of the season to clarify any new rules. Then at the end, to go over the season's referring in general. He said that at LSU he was sending in multiple calls every game; not questionable calls, obvious blown calls.

but Louisiana State fans said that Les was a barely functional retard

Good AM LSU fans. You ready to defend the refs for the rest of the week?

Just passing on news. Shane Beamer sent in the film, not the "whiny" fans.

You can also clearly see his left hand propelling him over the defender. He broke the rule in 2 different ways. Refs were terrible for both teams.

Thos is something you talk about on the sc board cry about refs there

I believe that the "leaping" rule only applies at the line of scrimmage when trying to block a kick? They were back near the punter.

I wonder if we will still be hearing about this in 15 years like we are this.
And no LSU ref thread is complete without the billboards.

Don’t think it’s a LOS rule.

Not any logical LSU fans. Only the ones that use their emotional vaginas in place of their brains. For better or worse, he was one of the best coaches in LSU history. Stats don't lie.

IIRC, USC forced a couple big ones as well... Then got hosed.

So you can blame coaching for that pick 6 being called back. You can hate the rule but it clearly states you can't hit a guy that isn't looking if the players are coming from opposite directions.
You also can't leap over a wall to block a punt but I don't hear anyone complaining about that obvious missed call.

The out-of-nowhere gripe that Beamer expressed on Sunday night, though, was over the refs not calling taunting on LSU following South Carolina’s last-second missed kick. “For that crew to throw 22 flags and on the last play of the game,” Beamer said, “I think there’s two very clear instances of taunting that happened after the kick.”
The game was over. What does he want them to do, penalize us on the opening kick vs UCLA?

If there’s an emphasis on taunting I’m not sure the refs heard about it. A&M players on “shushed” the UF fans on one TD and did the gator chomp on another.

This is true. His biggest fault was he wasn’t Nick Saban.
