Suprised to see Nuss higher under pressure. Seems like he throws the ball away with any sign of pressure.

I’m surprised at Nuss’ numbers. He has thrown several checkdowns when pressured. I wonder if PFF views a completed checkdown (for example a 6-yard completion on third and 8) favorably or not. A couple of those really hurt LSU against USC.

It's not a grade, it's just calculating the stats when they are pressured vs when they aren't.
Nuss
12 pressured drop backs
7/12 (58.3%)
82 yards
6.8 YPA
1 TD
0 INT
Something like success rate would probably show a more negative number if the things you say are true. A 6 yard completion on 3rd and 9 would be unsuccessful, but it isn't taken into account in terms of just pure overall stats.
Nuss is #33 out of 110 in YPA under pressure. He is #42 out of 110 in average depth of target (13.0 yards).

Yep PFF acts like a joke checkdown under pressure is a nice pass made when its an easy pass in reality.

PFF grades are garbage, but these aren't grades. They're just compiling general stats by filter - clean, pressure, blitzed, no blitz.

To me a good system wouldn't reward a QB hardly at all for a checkdown completed short of the 1st down marker on 3rd downs.

Agree - success rate would give you that metric.
Nuss, for example
- pressured on 12 drop backs
- converted 3 of those 12 into 1st downs
Now, that doesn't differentiate between what down it is, so some of those pressures were on 1st and 2nd down, so getting 6 yards on 1st and 10 would be a "success".

Do I take this to mean Beck has yet to be pressured at least 12 times?

Any defensive coordinator that doesnt blitz Nico IamaLeava needs to get kicked in the nuts.

Some of yall are football retarded. USC took the deep ball away. Would you rather him throw it into double coverage? They brought pressure, took away the deep ball and came up and tackled. He can only throw to who is open.

Did you even watch the first two games. Rating done mean shite because when they blitzed he ran for yards or checked down.

Could we perhaps find a way to evaluate the decrease when pressured?
____ is 150 when clean
____ is 75 when pressured
50% Drop
____ is 120 when clean
____ is 150 when pressured
25% increase
Could we then get a ranking of the QBs that perform better under pressure? Worse under pressure?
