So Arizona couldn't afford our ADs buyout. They offered to pay part of it and she was to work out the balance. Anyone know, did we let her off the hook, is she paying out of pocket?

I’m pretty sure we were glad she moved on before we had to do a full investigation.

So you think we took the partial payout and moved on? I just found it interesting they couldn't afford her buyout and put out a statement that it was up to her to work it out.

I sure hope they make her pay it all. I have not seen any articles about the resolution.

I think Missouri is much more interested in moving on than collecting $2.5-3M from DRF over 10 years.
They might make a show of making her pay something or signing an NDA. Though I don’t think she wants to open anything up either.

Is that it? For some reason I thought it was like $12 million.

Geez, Arizona couldn't afford a 3 million dollar buyout? They had a bowl team and a pretty good basketball program.

Aren't they the ones that had lost money somewhere to the tune of being under water by $125 million? They are in a really bad place.

It was an "accounting error". Decimal points and carry over that should not have carried over. Their accounts payable vs receivable is FUBAR.
And yet Le Frog ran there like a scalded cat. Leaving the entire board of Curators absolutely furious. She'll pay off that contract one way or another. She may be in a walker handing over SS checks, but it will get paid.

Her vision for the NEZ was comparable to Sterk trying to hire Blake Anderson. Good riddance.

Still trying to figure out how “Missouri-based” DLR ended up with the project.

I don't get that choice either. They are a solid firm with the portfolio to justify choosing them.......but calling them local is stretching it thin. I'm rather surprised they didn't go with an actual instate firm.

They have a rather large sports group in their KC office but it is on the KS side not MO.

I also forget that DLR is an A&E firm (arch & eng). Many of the notable sports architects in KC are architecture companies only and have to sub out the MEP side of things. There are some pretty big advantages to hiring an all-in-one A&E firm over a standalone arch firm. That probably plays into it also. Makes it much easier to evaluate and process potential design changes during the design process.
