How do you guys get games? Streaming via hot spot? Sattelite dish?

I've got a freshman and a sophomore at OM and another one on the way in two years. So I am about to crank up my Grove game for the next 5 or 6 years.

I am a cave man when it comes to technology like this. I'm gonna spend some time Sat just walking around and checking out everyone's setups and asking questions.

But TD always has the solutions. What do you guys recommend?

Also looking at the Predator 3500 from Harbor Freight at 56 dba (says the Grove limit is 60) listed at $799.

If it was me personally, i would hire a tent service to handle all of this for you. I have personally used 7 south tailgating and the service was great. Tents, tables, TV all provided.. My friend group does this and we a pitch in.

If thats not an option i would look into something like this Mobile Satellite.

Don't try to stream, the signal sucks when its that many ppl in one spot. The sound limit on the generators is 60 db so that one should work.

I'd also look at buying a power station that would run your set up, that way no sound, no gas. Also, if you in the middle of the grove you're screwed but if you will be set up in an area with a view of the sky starlink mini may be an option. Several of us use starlink in the RV area and are able to stream with no issues.

+1 on using the tailgating company on setting it up for you. After using those services, I couldn't go back

Ok, just for clarity: Does this tent service handle everything, everything? I assume I would have to build out a system and they just set it all up?

You can add on whatever you like. When we did the grove thing they set up the tents, chairs, tables, TV, and satellite. You can even get them to do you catering. It ain't cheap, and I'd hate to see the cost now that we don't suck, but it was nice showing up, tailgating and then getting to leave w/o having to mule all that shite back to the car.

Yeah I am comfortable that the Grove services is the way to go. I am just wondering what TV, Dish, Satellite, Hotspot, etc I need to run to get good reliable service.

There are so many unknowns like access to open sky, cell tower overload, cost, etc. I am just trying to do some research

The one i used had direct tv as thier provider. We had 2 tents, 2 tables 10 chairs, 2 coolers and they would bring you Ice. I even think some will help you cater but we did our own.

We showed up and left and only had to carry the stuff we brought in. Some services give discount's on season long buy ins. I will never put my own tent, table, tv and shite. F all that.

I gotcha. While I've never set up my own in the Grove, the dish tailgater units have been used for years. How it would work setting up your own, I'm not sure about. The tailgater will aim itself, but you'll need a view of the SE sky. Pretty sure the tailgate companies will put up a larger dish in a good spot that is able to run multiple boxes per dish. Snoop around this weekend and see what people are doing. If where you are planning on setting up has a pretty large view of the sky, starlink would be an option and you could just stream to a smart TV and bypass the satellite altogether. We are able to stream to multiple tvs with no problem using starlink. Hotspot probably won't work due to cell congestion.

Short version, dishes work great, but they need a specific view of the SE sky to work. Starlink would be better, but it needs to be able to see a lot more sky to work properly, but it doesn't have to be a specific direction.

Wish I could be more help, but we gave up the grove life long ago and now stay in the RV parking below the stadium. All I gotta do is hook to my trailer on Sunday morning and leave with my shite. Literally.
