I'm taking my dad to the first game either of us have gone to in 7-8 years. At this point we're both out of the loop on the gameday parking and tailgating situation. He is getting older and doesn't get around as well as he used to, although he's still perfectly capable of walking. Where would you folks consider parking? We used to park at Von Mises, but I can't imagine there's anything in that immediate area that would be open to the public for pay day-of.

Besides parking, anything else that's changed in the last 8 years or so that we should be aware of? I was already thrown for a loop with the digital tickets, but I'm just a dumb college of business grad so it doesn't take much

I have not been to a home game since 2019.

Shuttles may be useful: LINK

I parked at Campus Safety last year and was an easy walk to me.

Auburn United Methodist is my go to if you want easy in/out AUMC.net
Not sure but I think the West Glenn Lot listed for Cal game is the Von Mises lot you’re referencing and it is available currently (well maybe a block over from Von Mises on West Glenn vs Magnolia)

You could also try the Burton Street garage behind Auburn bank, but I’ll never park in another garage on game day unless I plan on leaving by start of Q4.

Both are close to Toomer’s for your walk back from stadium (sans West Glenn/Von Mises lot at corner of W Glenn/Donahue)

It depends on do you like to have a plan or do you want to risk it? You can prebuy a spot at AUMC and it's easy and convenient. Or you can roll up and find a curb on Gay Street or somewhere in the area. It's riskier, but can be free. I've done both multiple times.

The older I get the lower my risk tolerance gets. I’ll probably end up pre-buying a spot just so I don’t have to worry about it. If I were going solo it might be worth the risk, but I’m willing to spend a little money for a less stressful experience at this point in my life.
