That’s just way too much of a hit for a team to take having a player ejected and then are they still having to sit out half a game the next week that is a bullshite penalty that needs to be gone. Football is supposed to be a rough collision sport.

The least they could do is limit it to 15 minimum (1quarter) suspension.

One of the talking heads I follow on youtube suggested a good idea.

The first offense is the old fashioned 15 yard penalty, no ejection.

The second offense, for the same player, anytime the rest of the season, would be the ejection/suspension.

The refs call targeting that didn't happen but don't call half of the holding and pass interference that does.

I agree with ya bro. But I think we're in the minority amongst the younger generation. I'm 54 and I remember a time when there was no targeting and players could 'lay the wood' and it was something to be admired and not scorned. I don't mean to say I like players getting hurt, but the sport prospered all those years without these rules to help make it 'better'. Whoever decided that we needed stricter rules to prevent concusions and other things?? Its just a product of a different way of thinking in our society today...and it has hurt the sport. Call me old school if you want....but that's my two cents and I'm sticking to it.

I love the targeting calls. Yes. We all love hard hits, but that comes at the expense of players who later in life may suffer from neurological diseases. Junior Seau was a casualty of this and a few more players. I’m not advocating two hand touch. Give a big pop with the shoulders or side of the torso.

Now that they are getting NIL, they should just get fined now.
