It sounds like Slackman has some nagging injury and won't be 100% against Miami. I hope decent D line depth doesn't become a big issue. Miami seems to be lucking out so far with injury issues.

We have to throw the ball down field more to improve. Miami's weakness is secondary but their D line is likely to not give you much time at all. We need some quick release passes actually down the field this game imo. I think the Swamp with turnovers and penalties will have to win this game or Napier has to come with something that surprises them like last year's TN game.

The Mia d line is supposed to be pretty stout this year. Our O line young, right? Luckily Mertz can throw good on the run, according to past stats. It would be nice for him to have some time to scan.

Could be wrong but I think our dink and dunk passing game like we played last season most games won't be enough to win this game. I think we have to have quick passes down the field to give the WRs a chance to make a play. On paper Miami looks like a real good pass rushing team but some think they are a little undersized at DT for running plays.

Depends..........is the defense going to make a stop or two?
The offense played good enough last year to win 8 or 9 games, if the defense is better this team could do the same.

Disagree. Our offense sputtered big time when needed in crunch time last season. Drinking and dunking when trailing isn't impressive. We constantly were throwing short on key 3rd downs etc. SC is about the only time we really attacked downfield to guys where it required a good pass.

Gonna have to keep them off balance. I think it'll come down to play calling on offense, more than our offensive playmakers. We finally have some weapons that coach has to utilize efficiently. We do that, and I think we win comfortably.
