Deer will eat themselves and other populations to starving. CWD is a serious problem and will waste large numbers of deer eventually.

80-90% of rabbits will die during the winter, every year. You can eat them or the microbes can.

Snow geese world populations is so large I'm not going to type it here, because you will doubt the number. Canadian geese have also explosively rebounded and become something of a nuisance.

Coyotes are murder on fox and others, and no longer have wolves to keep their populations in check.

Hunting is the ONLY reason any wildlife is left in most of the United States. Without hunting no one pays the bill to maintain habitat and without habitat there is no wildlife. Animal lovers pay bupkus to maintain habitat. Hunters and fisherman foot the bill exclusively. If one does not like the idea of killing wildlife they are in the same boat with about 99% of hunters...I have only met a few hunters in my years of hunting who were blood thirsty killers who hunt solely for the sake of killing...even the worst slob hunters I ever met, who thought limits were a mere suggestion and baiting was perfectly OK, held the wildlife they harvested in pretty high esteem. I get not liking the idea of hunting and killing but without it wildlife would cease to exist in appreciable numbers....there is very little interest in footing the bill for habitat outside of hunters and our numbers are on the decline.
