Alabama
Georgia
Florida
Auburn
Texas
Oklahoma

SEC teams that have passed Tennessee in the last 20-25 years in terms of tradition and winning.
Georgia
LSU
Florida

They have always been behind Alabama.
So of the traditional SEC teams Tennessee is 5th now.

We have a winning record in Neyland all-time.

True...of course, if Tennessee wins when they play in October, they will be back to .500 vs Florida in Neyland.

True...Oklahoma owns Tennessee 3-1 and Texas owns Tennessee 2-1.

It isn't like Tennessee is winless against either of them like...say Florida is vs Texas.

Florida is .500 against Oklahoma...but they won't have a chance to actually have a winning record vs them until whoever replaces Billy takes over after this year.

Those are much worse than losing to Butch Jones.

Butch Jones never lost to an FCS team that completed 0 passes.
He also never did this.

OU vs Tenn

1939: 11-0 TN wins in Orange Bowl
1968: 9-2 TN loses in Orange Bowl
2014: 7-6 TN loses @ OU
2015: 9-4 TN loses @ TN

So Tenner hasn’t beaten us since before WW2.

They're a solid but not great program since integration 50+ years ago.

they have one national title in the last 70 years. They have absolutely coasted as a program based on how good they were the first half of the 20th century.

In the back half of the 20th century, VOLS had sustained periods of success in the 60s, 80s and 90s. Not really sure that could be considered coasting on successes from 1900-1950. If anything, VOLS are coasting on 1998, which is almost the end of the 20th century.

UGA had a bit of a period without a natty IIRC, and had been at 79 years with only one natty. Was UGA coasting on the 40s and 80s up until a couple years ago?

11-16-2 against Auburn
8-30 against UF
15-21 against UGA
8-9-1 against LSU

correct, and we heard about it yearly

UGA hasn't been considered the SEC's 2nd best program for decades, like UT has. Since the time I was born UT has always been seen as the 2nd best SEC program historically so you would think they'd have more overall success. Before Richt got here UGA was always lumped into that big next group with UF/LSU/AU.
