The whole point of the CFP Is to eliminate the polls popularity voting right
Yet they are immediately going to employ polls to determine the CFP?
Makes no sense and now the CFP champion will be just as “mythical “ as the old bowl era

Not at all. It is primarily to settle the championship on the field as opposed to a poll. But there has to be some criteria to select which teams go to the playoffs.

I am really curious. How do you think the teams that make the playoffs should be selected?

Nobody is paying me the big bucks to figure this stuff out but the fact remains that using the polls to set up the CFP means the entire thing is tainted at the source.
And yes I said tainted

I don’t see B12 getting an at large. Their best team is Utah right now. Last Championship the whole conference won was Colorado in 1990 and BYU in the early 80s. Big 12 is the new MAC.

He asked how many SEC teams get in. Not Big10 teams.

Does the BIG 12 deserve an at Large bid now?

There has to be a way to select the teams. It either has to be by computer, or poll, or committee.
A computer is only as good as the information that is plugged into it by a human.
You don't like a poll because of humans interaction.
Committee is just another way of saying a poll.
I do think a playoff is a good thing to do. I disagree with having so many teams. e already have too many blow outs and adding an additional 8 teams to make 12 will only increase the number of blow outs. 6 would have been fine, but it still would have had too many blow outs.
I mean, are you under the impression that the best team will be left out of a 12 team playoff?
