This is the kind of shite that annoys me to be 100% honest. It's the same kind of shite people did after Bear died. Tribute this, tribute that, what bear would have wanted, what Bear would have done, blah blah blah.

Funny part is Bryant and Saban honestly wouldn’t give 2 shits if their name is on the stadium

If you want to advertise the 2 best coaches ever for recruiting purposes by all means do it, but neither of those guys were the personalities that would care one way or the other about such trivial things

When the State legislature changed the name of Denny Stadium to Bryant Denny it was in 1975. Do the math, Coach Bryant was still head coach and he was also AD at ALABAMA for another 7 years. Coach Bryant was that rare head coach who was still doing his thing while playing in a stadium with his name on it. You don't know what you're talking about.

It did matter to him. These coaches have egos and pride in their accomplishments. I would venture to guess the greatest coaches seem to be concerned about their legacy more than most. Coach Saban got a statue outside of Bryant Denny after his first NC in 2010. Did he say no, it was just too early for such acknowledgment? Nope, he showed up for the unveiling like everyone else.
